Redding sat in the Captain's chair, waiting for the clock to tick down. It'd
been 10 minutes since the Simpson had hailed them, indicating their desire
to commence with simulated combat.
He waited for Captain Walsh to reappear on the bridge, to make the final
preparations.
+TAPS+ All decks, be ready for tactical simulations in 20 minutes. We will
be simulating combat. The ship may be somewhat turbulent to aid in the
realism of being attacked. This is a drill. I repeat, this is a drill.
Likewise, the ship may be boarded by USS Simpson personnel as mock
intruders. Do not react to any intruder alerts and certainly do not attempt
to fend off these USS Simpson personnel using real weapons. This is solely a
measure of training for the USS Simpson and Chimera security members. All
crew are advised to stand aside for the interest of allo wing us to be
trained. Any questions may be directed up the chain of command. Acheson out

He ended his address and looked at the turbolift, waiting for Walsh to
enter:
Jack stepped out of the turbolift as it came to a halt and looked around the
bridge for Lieutenant Acheson, he was seated centre stage on the Bridge.
Jack had just heard his general announcement on the Comms and was looking
forward to shooting the crap out of anyone that got in his way. Heading
over the Lieutenant turned and stood to greet him.
"Captain, I recently contacted a Lt Klinde of the USS Simpson. We are going
to run simulated space combat and then the Simpson Chief Security Officer
wanted to know if you wanted to practice Security drills. The drills he had
in mind where a hostile boarding resistance drill and a boarding assault
drill. Each side would take turns assaulting and resisting. Do you have any
thoughts on this?"
"I think that's fair enough, obviously we'd have to notify those still
performing their duties on the ship, engineering for example. I'd hate to
have security training going on near my warp core if the situation was
reversed. I read your proposal, everything seems upto scratch...obviously
having served in this position you know what you're doing" Jack nodded to
him and Scratched his head slightly. "
"Was there anything else?"
"Was there anything specific you wanted..."he paused..."I don't know,
'retrieved'? during the boarding mission to the Simpson?"
"I hadn't given it much thought, Captain."
Jack grinned. "Well I haven't been onboard long but I'm aware that alcohol
is prohibited on the Chimera?"
"Indeed. I..." He coughs a bit and looks around, to make sure noone is
listening, "I keep a little in my quarters, but I'd think the ODA team would
want more."
"Well what If my team was in search of specific bottles of Alcohol placed
randomly about the Simpson with a small tracking beacon? Could keep things
Interesting? I mean it don't have to be Alcohol but something that we can
try and retrieve within a certain amount of time...we can compare times with
the Simpson security team, Providing they can get past my men?" he smirked.
"Why not alcohol? Then, the bottles that aren't found are a treat to each
side's security. We just need to mark the bottles something else and not
tell the COs about this." He smirked too, enjoying the concept of concealing
the contraband even more.
"This could turn out to be very interesting" Jack chuckled, it was weird; he
didn't actually drink...except when the occasion called for it, or
apparently when there is a prohibition law in place, it seemed to be calling
him into it. He'd just had a meeting with the Colonel about an hour before
and now he was in the throws of becoming Al Capone.
"Was there anything else Lieutenant?"
"Negative. You'll want to hide the contraband now, while I inform the
Simpson of the plan. The assault on us will begin shortly."
Jack headed into the turbolift and racked his brain for the name of someone
in his department...."Walsh to Corpral Kilpatrick...."
