=/\= MaiKai's Quarters =/\= MaiKai had already made a stop into Sickbay to pick up a few essential supplies for the away team that she was about to venture on. She then preceded to her room where there she got out a small bag and put a few pairs of clothing inside to start the packing for the trip. She thought about the meeting and how she was offered to go away. Oh, she loved it. Just the fact of recognition of hard work to go away and help, and maybe have some fun, was ok with her. Thoughts always came to MaiKai before she was to go away. Thoughts of home and family where she left behind in Hawaii on the planet Earth. She never thought she would ever make it this far away before her mother worrying so much and demanding her to come back home immediately. None of her family members did that, they just took her to a going away party with friends and wished her the best of luck. The most sad part of the whole thing was when her little brother Tai asked her not to leave him behind. Wishing she knew the answers to every little thing that was going around the ship, including the truth behind those lovely rumors, she thought of the strange feeling she felt around Shane. She realized he wasn't exactly like himself a few minutes ago, but she wasn't about to get up, go, and ask him about it out of no where. She then finished packing and laid down to maybe take a nap before she had to leave for the Shuttle Bay. She got within minutes of falling asleep, when a stammering voice of Captain Keylor himself came over the ship and asked all to report to Shuttle Bay if you were leaving on a team. "What does a person do to get any sleep around here," MaiKai exclaimed with a sigh as she got her bag off the floor and headed for the door. Before she left her room, Kaine, her pitbull of a dog, got up and barked. "Fine," MaiKai turned around got Kaine extra food and water from the replicator gave him a pat on the back, a kiss on the head and then left.
