=Outside main engineering= The two women, identical with the exception that one had a black smudge across her left cheek, just stared at each other. “When was you going to tell me about this?” Jo Weathersby 1 asked, still looking at her counterpart. “Whenever I got around to it,” Rick said. “Now if you ladies will excuse me, I’ve got to get back to work. Take all the time you need to talk this out.” Rick turned to leave and stopped. He looked back at the older women. “And when I say ‘take all the time you need’, that means you have 10 minutes before you have to get back to work,” Rick said with a grin as he then continued his way to engineering. As he entered, a crewman walked up to him. “Sir, we’re still having temporal disturbances on Decks 5 and 6,” the crewman said. “As well as down here.” “Inform the bridge,” was all Rick could say. “The bridge has already been notified,” the crewman said. Rick just nodded as he went back to his station and got to work. He had managed to gain some control of shields and deflectors from engineering, but he didn’t feel completely comfortable with that control. Temporal shielding was another problem as they didn’t seem to be working as expected. Not only were there ‘gaps’ in the temporal shields, but they also drained power from the main shields. Of course, with out the temporal shields, they wouldn’t have stood a chance. ‘That's it,’ Rick thought as he grabbed an engineering kit. “Ensign Kowloa,” Rick said as he headed for the exit. “I’ll be with Ensign Gomez working on those damn temporal shields.” “Aye, sir,” Kowloa said. With a plan in mind, Rick left engineering and headed for the turbolift. Once he entered the lift and it started moving ... "All hands to alert stations. Repeat, all hands to alert station. Standby for temporal incursion. Sickbay, prepare for casualties." It was moments later that the ship shook and the lift stopped as everything went black. Lieutenant (j.g.)
