*** Sickbay * USS Chimera *** Rangi followed Sally to the office doorway. "Are you sure you're ok ma'am? you still look a little pale if you dont mind me saying so." the technician ventured. "I'm absolutely sure..thankyou." They stepped into the main sickbay. "Was it one of these temporal things then?" Sally asked and immediately answered her own question. "I suppose it was. You know I ate the same breakfast three times running? I didnt know it was the same one ofcourse, not 'till afterwards." She smiled at Rangis surprised face. "I wouldnt mind but it wasnt that good in the first place." she continued. "The toast was burnt! Do you think it will count on a diet? It shouldnt should it? I'm trying to lose weight you see, because George said I looked like a Teskian Hunnybat.He tried to pretend he was joking and said he liked Hunnybats alot because they're so soft and cuddly but I know that he REALLY meant my waist is as big as theirs.Some of them are really big you know." She took a breath and continued on. Rangi tried to keep track of the revelations. "Not that I 'worry' what George Pucker says ofcourse.No no I'm my own woman but on the other hand who wants to be likened to a hairy little animal with big eyes and a huge stomach? I dont, even if he says he likes them. They have big feet too but my feet arent big." she added and glanced down at he right foot which she lifted and twisted for a demonstration, hardly pausing in her monologue. " So I thought it wouldnt hurt to go on a diet for a day or so.Nothing drastic! I mean if we were meant to eat salad we would all be rabbits or Hunnybats wouldnt we?" She laughed at her own quip and Rangi smiled despite herself. "So I cut down on the chocolate though I thought I'd keep one bar in the lab just in case. I mean, you never know when your blood sugar level's going to drop do you and if it does, you need to get it back up!" Rangi watched the hand action depicting the dropping and raising of sugar levels and nodded when she met the technicians questing expression. "Exactly.. and the girls agreed with me, not that we eat alot you understand.... its just in case! I mean I dont want you to think that we're all chocoholics or anything, perish the thought, though there are 'much' worse things we could be." Sally stopped and frowned. "I wasnt meant to tell you we kept chocolate in the coolroom was I?" she asked thoughtfully. "Probably not." Rangi replied with a small laugh. "Don't worry about it." Sally smiled happily. "Well, best get back to the lab, places to go, things to do, people to see.Only there arent any people in the lab very often but you know what I mean?" "Indeed! ..you go back there and..." "Doing it already!" Sally broke in cheerfully, raising her hand. "Consider me gone!" The technician walked away in the direction of the lab and Rangi gave a sigh of relief, shook her head and smiled. {Hunnybats indeed} "Everthing ok?" Scott asked walking towards her. "It is now I think" Rangi replied. "Oh?" he queried "What's up?" "Just had a strange experience." She saw Scott focus on Sallys retreating figure. "Not Sally!" she said and Scott grinned his familiar grin. "What then?" he asked. "I wanted to add ADTH to the ventilation system..." Rangi began and explained what had happened as far as she could remember. "So you added it 'twice'?" Scott asked. Rangi shrugged. "I dont know...but theres a double dose in there now" Scott sucked air between his teeth in mock displeasure and narrowed his eyes. "Well that should liven things up!" he said, glancing round the bay and settled his eyes back on Rangi as a wide smile appeared on his face. "It wont do any harm." he said. "I know. " Rangi replied joining his smile like a conspirator and then becoming serious asked..
