== Bridge=== Keylor scowled as Fosters report on the ships systems were less than promising. With everything that had gone wrong, he was hoping the prophets would have cut him one break and the ship would be ready to go once the command control had been restored. He figured the prophets had other plans for hum. He glanced over to Adian who was not slowly limping towards him. Adian was in obvious pain as he tried to put weight on his injured leg. "Sir? With all respects I don't think I can make it to main engineering through the Jeffries tubes."Adian paused, "The leg and all." He said glancing down to the floor, indicating his leg. Keylor nodded. "Aye I know. We will find some way to get you down there. If the ship is relatively un damaged, once command control has been restored we might be able to activate a site to site transport." He said trying to explain why he had just promised Adian to engineering. Simple fact was Adian was a good engineering specialist, but with out command control, even he Adian could not repair something weather or not it was broken. Keylor hoped that once command control was restored that he would not need Adian on the bridge after all. Adian hobbled back to the helm consol and eased himself in to the chair. Keylor looked up to the view screen and eyeballed the Chimera. Though the magnification was good, they only had a profile view of her and could not see the full extent of the damage. He wondered dif the Gott had received as much damage, only the internal sensor sweeps would tell. After several minutes of staring at the Chimera, every console on the bridged flickered and beeped at the same time, along with the view screen. Next Keylor heard a faint hum come form behind him. He shook himself back to reality and looked backwards. The incessant thumping of the X'chi trying to gain entry had stopped , only to be replaced with the hi pitched intermittent tone of some one, or thing hitting a force field. "About time!" he said out loud. He looked towards Adian and smiled. "Well looks like the force fields are up. I don't think those things will be coming in here any time soon." He smiled to Adian. Keylor was about to call down to Foster when Foster called him. "Foster to Bretam." "Go ahead Lieutenant. Tell me you have command control of the ship." He asked with a grumble. Yes sir!" Andy said sounding a bit please in him self. " And I am enabling control to the bridge. now." He said and the console in the arm of the captain's chair beeped. Keylor looked down and saw the console flashing, asking for a command code. {Strange.} he thought. Calling back out to foster he asked, "Lieutenant, what did you do? I have a command code prompt." Keylor listened as Andy told Keylor that there was something very strange with the computer core and that he was having difficulty restoring all command console access once he had hacked in. Andy explained how he found a copy of the shipyards original programming in a backup system and loaded that as the ship s primary program. And after a system reset, they were in business. "Just enter any code sir. The systems think we are still in dock and needs the first captains' access codes. " Andy said still sounding proud of his accomplishment. Keylor quickly tapped on the small console. Within seconds he saw that the system was not ready for his commands. Leaning a bit forward, Keylor decided to test it out. "Computer! Status of Ships transporters?" he asked. The familiar cold and computerized female voice that every starship seemed to have replied. [Transporters are on line. Performing level 5 diagnostics.} It replied "Sir," Andy interjected. "Since I used the old backup, and the ships chronometer is still set to present time, the computer might default to a level five scan before opening up a system." Keylor nodded to himself, "Understood." he replied back in a gruff tone. [Transports are fully functional.] The computer finally responded back. Keylor then motioned to Adian. "Petty officer. Tap your badge and log it in with the ships computer. " he instructed Adian. Adain complied and quickly identified himself and the comm. badge to the nova class ships computer. Confident that he could now transport Adian to engineering he motioned to him. "Stand up son. I cant promise you , you will be transported to a chair." He grinned. Adain smiled back and struggled to get up on two feet. Once he had, he nodded to Keylor. "Computer. Site to site transport Petty officer third class Lynch to Main engineering." He commanded the ship. With a beep , Adian was gone in a shimmer. "Ok Lieutenant Foster, Lynch should be down there with you." Keylor stated. "Yes sir he is right here. We will get the core on line immediately. " Andy replied. "Good. Bretam out." He barked. Looking over at the other oda members still on the bridge he smiled. "Ok lets see what we have shal we? Each out you take a station. Tactical, Science, Operations. I know this is not your normal responsibility but do the best you can. I simply was an inventory of what we have." He ordered them. The bridge soon began to sound more like a bridge, with people moving about, and the faint beeps of computer consoles. After unlocking all console to unlimited access, he slowly pushed himself out of the captains chair. He grimaced and grunted as he tried to use his right arm to stand up. His left shoulder was not completely stiff, and moving his arm, even slightly was painful. After a moment of struggle he was on his feet and he walked to the helms station. After sitting down at the helm. He tapped on the consol and brought up the ships navigation system. He then brought up the ships navigational sensors. What he saw confused him. Though the standard 3 axis navigational sensors were there, there was what appeared to be a fourth axis. {What the.. Why four?} he thought. Ignoring the new information he ignored the new axis and concentrated on flying. He located the Chimera's coordinates and vectors. Keylor laid in a course and then set propulsion to =BC. Though Foster had said impulse was working, he had also said everything was on 40 of reserve power, Keylor did not want to drain the energy too fast, but in the same line, he did not want to sit adrift either. He figured if all else failed, if he could get the Gott close enough to the Chimera. He might be able to get the chimera to send over an engineer and a few portable power cells until the warp core was warmed up. After double checking his data entry he hit the button to engage the impulse engines . ==End log== Bgen Bretam Keylor
