-=/\=- Astrometrics -=/\=- LtJg. Quiocho was finished treating Oriana and Petrel. She decided to continue on in Astrometrics, as instructed, to treat the injured since there hasn't been a medic through here in a while. MaiKai started her way over debris to woman. By the uniform, it looked as though she was from engineering, but Mai could be wrong. She continued to walk towards the woman. Mai felt an earthquake and fell into a jagged piece of metal on the wall. MaiKai took out a dermaplast from her medkit. This device allowed small or large cuts to seal up so there wasn't that much pain or blood she would have to look at. Yes, LtJg. Quiocho was tremendous doctor and she did her schooling, but when it came to sharp objects like: knives or needles and an add-on of blood, she didn't do so well. Looking at her own scrapes didn't bother her, but when it came to other people she became a little queasy. Odd for a doctor to feel this way, but ever since she was a small child she had felt this way. She got up and continued to walk to the woman who was mumbling to herself. "Ma'am, I'm a medical officer. I need your name and how you are hurt or in pain," Mai politely demanded as the woman winced from hearing a human voice. The woman spoke softly and hoarse, "Lois Seguin. I'm not share what's wrong. My body feels numb and I can feel an awkward sensation in my back, but I really have no idea." MaiKai took off her jacket so the only thing left of her uniform was her shoes, pants, and white tank top. Mai covered the patient with her jacket and rubbed the patients arms wit hers. "Miss Seguin, I'm going to roll you over I think what the odd sensation in your back is tremendous blood loss. I need you to keep your arms going like this, as I am, while I see what's going on so I can treat you." Miss Seguin nodded while Mai in return gave her a weak smile. MaiKai gently had moved the woman to tilt to one side as she pulled out her medical tricorder just to make sure she was correct with assumptions. She was right. Something happened to Miss Seguin to dislocate a vertebrae. She wasn't bleed out her back, as Mai braced for, but that single vertebra must have messed up a few nerves in the patients back. Soon Lois would be unconscious and the Lieutenant surely didn't want that. MaiKai opened her medkit, that was off to the side, to reveal her options instruments and medicines. She pulled out the Neural Stimulator and her handy-dandy hypospray. Mai used the Neural Stimulator to keep Lois awake and have her nerves working a bit harder until she could get Lois to Sickbay to see what instruments were left so MaiKai could construct new nerves in the patient's back. Mai thought her plan would work if Miss Seguin would stay awake. In her politeness, Mai gave Miss Seguin a hypospray to her neck to relieve any pain she now felt as the numbness went away. Miss Seguin stating that the numbness was now going away and she could feel everything around her let Mai know that the young doctor had done the right thing. "I'm glad your better, however I must go to other patients. Please stay right here, don't move, and try and relax. But do not fall asleep. I will be back to check up on you in ten. Please keep yourself occupied so you don't fall asleep." MaiKai made a real smile this time at Miss Lois Seguin as she left her to treat other patients. {I'm glad I'm needed here. If only my parents could see me now}. Mai smiled to herself feeling more confident. She hurried away to more patients in Astrometrics. -=/\=- End Log -=/\=- LtJg. MaiKai Quiocho AMO USS Chimera
