****** Turbo Tube ******* Surviving on a ship for four weeks that has been over fun by enemy forces is no easy task, it is even worse when that enemy is no ordinary solider or raider but the X’chi. Of course the crew of the Gott had put up a fight, and one hell of a fight at that. For sixty-three hours there had been running battles along the corridors of the decks, phaser fire emanating from every direction, grenades exploding as in confined spaces, Susan had even seen her head of department hit one of the X’chi around the face wearing a pair of brass knuckles, it did the trick too. But in the end the X’chi managed to wide out the Gott’s crew one at time, just picking them off, until the crew was so out numbered that they had to retreat to the Jefferies tubes and other hiding positions. That seemed to work most of the time, the X’chi were too large to go running around the Jefferies Tubes and when one of them did enter they were easy pickings. Even so, by that time there was only a hand full of the crew left, lead by Susan’s department head, Lieutenant Commander Mitchell. Mitchell and the rest of the survivers had died less than a week ago when hey tried to set an ambush. They had planned to lead X’chi down a corridoe on one of the lower decks and blow there to hell. Enough explosive had been planted behind the walls to turn a company of SF Marines into no more than mince mean. But the plan had not worked, the X’chi managed to cut off their escape route and surround them. Mitchell had tried to get as many in to the tubes as possible before blowing the walls but only a few made it, Susan was one of the few. She had gone back an hours later to check for survivors but as Mitchell had planned the explosives had turned the two wall into a cubic tone of shrapnel. Even with her Vulcan restraint that site of mangled bodies had almost caused her to brake down. Susan had then resigned her self to tacking as many of the X’chi out as possible before they got her, there was no doubt in her mind that they would but they was going to take some of them down. So she was more than surprised when she was rescued by a group of four Marines as they swept though deck nine. She soon realised when she got to sickbay that the rescue attempt was not the greatest in history. The other crew’s ship was almost destroyed and the crew it’s self was down to around 67%, but Susan was glade to have some company after sending the best part of the week completely alone. After an hour in sickbay getting checked over she had snuck away, hoping she could make herself useful rather than simply lie on a Biobed for another hour. After asking around she had heard that the CO was on the bridge and if she wanted something to do she would be best to report to him a he was under staffed. The doors of the turbo lift opened and she stepped off, heading to wards the general sitting in the ‘chair’. He seemed to be talking to what looked like his XO who had just been beamed over. After a short wait Susan stepped forward. “Cadet Susan C’el, reporting sir. Assistant Tactical officer, USS Gott.” The General seemed to wait for her to continue, “I herd that you may need an extra pair of hands.” ******** End Log ******* << I hope this is okay for my first log, I was not sure what to write. >> Cadet Susan C’el Assistant tactical Officer USS Gott ( for the moment ) _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
