===== Bridge, USS Gott ===== After several polite words of greeting between the General and the Commander, Bretam and Shane started to discuss the situation about the Chimera at once. Shane passed the information over to Bretam that the Chimera will be evecuated soon and that Ens. Terek and Corporal Cortez were ordered to arm all remaining functional torpedoes. Shane was then briefly told about the current situation on board the Gott ... the X!Chi status and about the rescued crew from the Chimera. Suddenly the doors of the turbo lift opened and a woman stepped off, heading to wards the General sitting in the ‘chair’. After a short wait Susan stepped forward. “Cadet Susan C’el, reporting sir. Assistant Tactical officer, USS Gott.” The General seemed to wait for her to continue, “I herd that you may need an extra pair of hands.” A slight smile appeared on the General's face ... most probably was he thinking back on his young days. Then he noded: "That is correct cadet. For the moment we are a bit short of tactical personal, so you can seat yourself behind the Tac console here. Your main task is to watch for any other ships in this area." Bretam looked at the young cadet and continued: "We dont expect anyone to be here in this time frame ... but if there IS someone here, I need to know. Besides that please monitor the Chimera, if there will happen something unusual, I want to know as well". Shane was not sure how the young woman was feeling in the presence of a General, but she noded and replied like a text-book officer: "Aye, aye sir" and with that she left for the tactical console. ====== After a while ===== "General" suddenly the voice of LT. Foster adressed the CO, "Corporal Cortez just reported that the Chimera torpedoes are armed and ready for detonation and that the evacuation was just completed. The Corporal and a technician are the last two crew on board the Chimera". Shane looked at Bretam who noded giving him free hand to act. Shane looked now at Foster and said: "Very well Lieutenant, please tell the Corporal to leave the Chimera immediately." Looking back to Bretam he suggested: "I think we are ready for starting our plan of elimination of the X!Chi eggs sir". Bretam noded slowly like a bit reluctant to start the last episode of the Chimera's history: "I'll take it over from here Commander. You find now Commander Palmer and Lieutenant Oriana and do your best to find us a way home, I'll take care about the X!Chi". After a small moment Shane understood ... The USS Chimera was Bretam's ship and if someone should lead her into death and destruction ... it will be him. "Yes sir" Shane replied and left the bridge. ===== End of log ===== Cmdr.
