((OOC Backlog, just after the firefight with the X'Chi ended in the
science lab))
*****Sickbay USS Gott*******
Hawk made his way from the firefight with the X'Chi to sickbay rather
slowly. He was still very sore from his wound and broken rib a couple
days ago. Ensign Quinn was also on her way to sickbay with the two men,
Ra'nar and Hawk, so she assisted once she noticed that the two were
barely moving.
Hawk must have pulled a dozen muscles carrying Ra'nar about the ship at
full sprint running, or so it felt that way. Ra'nar was not doing well
at all; his wound had reopened and stunk worse than the mess he cleaned
in the warp core several days ago.
Ra'nar was swarmed by blue shirts as soon as the tri entered the room.
Ens Quinn disappeared also as a nurse pushed her off to another area.
Hawk sat quietly off to the side of the action and went into an almost
numb state of mind. Everything was going on around him and he felt as
though he was in a bubble, no one noticed him and he didn't make any
attempt to be noticed either.
After sitting in sickbay for a half an hour he came too his full senses
and made an attempt to go back to engineering. There was likely an
enormous mess down there from the firefight and he hoped there was no
damage beyond minor burns and such. As he made his way out the door
however yellow alert was sounded and the crew was ordered to brace for
collision.
"Well, thank heavens that peace didn't last that long...!" Hawk said as
he braced himself against a bulk head across the corridor.
He made his way slowly towards engineering, the ship was moved to red
alert and more violent shaking went on. By the time he reached
engineering some 12 to 15 minutes later, (he wasn't moving fast and the
shaking made travel slow) the news was spreading around the ship that
they were on there way home. Or at least they were in there own time,
the news meant that the chimera was no more...home was gone.
*******Engineering some time later************
Hawk recovered rather quickly as he got some rest here and there. The
ship had kind of gone into a state of almost relaxation, a little bit.
Double checks on systems here and there were the extent of duties while
they made best speed towards the nearest starbase.
Jo Weathersby approached Hawk at one point telling him that CEO Rodgers
was taking needed rest up on deck three. He needed him to look after the
basement for a couple hours. No problem there, he had done the job
before.
At least now it should be an easy job to take care of. Hawk knew what
needed done and when to get it done, the only problem with being the
chief is that you have to delegate out those assignments. Hawk worked
better just jumping in and doing it, or someone telling him to get it
done and off he would go.
Either way it was nice to be heading back towards normal.....
