Hey folks, Your happy XO is reporting this time. This week we have finally finished the X!Chi plot with a great firework 10.000 years in the past. For the moment the crew is ejoying a short R&R before we will head for a new adventure. We have lost the Chimera (but saved the whole Federation & Mankind) and for the time beeing we are shipless and grounded on starbase 485. Feel free to explore the station, it has many shops, bar/restaurants, arboretum ... . News from SSF Command indicate that a new ship USS Chimera-A [Katana class] in already on the way ... so stay tuned and expect a shiney new ship for us coming soon. Well done and congratulations! =========================================================================== =/\= MISSION SUMMARY/QUOTES OF THE WEEK =/\= =========================================================================== Summary (By Prince Bren and Queen Rangi) Those on the Bridge of the Gott watched the battle in engineering by way of a visual uplink, applauding the X'Chis destruction but silenced when they witnessed a marine being attacked.Cadet Susan C'el requested permission of Lt Wellington to lead a second wave of marines, made up from those leaving sickbay, to support Major Walshs team. Hawk Versey came upon the battle raging in main engineering and soon saw the injured Pvt Ra'nar. Although in terrible pain, Ra'nar continued to fire on the X'Chi for some minutes. He discovered that the wound had reopened and was now showing advanced infection, possibly, he thought, because Cardassians were particularly susceptable to it.Taking a risk Hawk raced to Ra'nars rescue and with the Cardassian across his shoulder and still firing on the X'Chi, beat a hasty retreat to the nearest turbolift and sickbay.Unfortunately they arrived on the wrong deck and, followed by angry X'Chi, burst into the science labs where Shane,Terek and the science team were working on possibilities to find a way home.Taking what cover they could find, another desperate fight errupted that resulted in two dead insectoids and an injured science officer squashed under a consol. Once she was freed, she went with Hawk and Ra'nar to sickbay. Oriana and her team meanwhile continue to search for a way home. Their closest bet is to try and recreate the events that allowed the X!Chi to travel back into the past. Shane sits quietly and watches them when Terek tells Oriana about the temporal navigational devices the Gott crew was working on. Samantha has a lightbulb moment and realises that the deflector can be used to get them back to their own time. Upon hearing them discuss the theory, Shane jumps up excitedly and tells Samantha to upload the ideas to a padd so that he can take it to the General. On the Gott's bridge, Keylor feels the combined effects of his medication and the spring wine. Shane hands him the recommendations for their return home, and he gives his reluctant approval. When it comes to light that Stephens is still on the Chimera, Keylor explains that there's a chance that the detonation might not go off as planned. When the Chimera is released, Keylor orders Harker to take them at warp 3 to the specified coordinates. The bridge crew watch with trepidation for the explosion, which happens exactly on queue. The detonation of the Chimera produces a powerful shockwave, which completely destroys the planet and proves too fast for the Gott to outrun. (Five years into the future, Stephens wakes up in Sickbay, and is greeted by the friendly face of Rangi Summers.) The wave does not affect the Gott much, but when Keylor receives scan reports of the wave and where it's headed, it slowly becomes clear what's happening. When the wave reached the nova star, it erupted in spectacular fashion, giving birth to the Spinward Marsh. After a quick discussion with the science officer, Shane orders Oriana to prepare the ship for temporal travel. Several minutes later, the Gott detects a Federation beacon, and everyone is relieved to find themselves back in their own time. Keylor orders Harker to get them out of the Marsh and set a course for Starbase 485. As things started to settle down, Shane and Rangi share a moment on Deck Two before heading to her quarters. Once there, Rangi makes a chilling discovery in her closet. This proves to be too much for the CMO and bursts out in tears. Having been handed orders for Keylor and all members of the Gott to remain at SB 485, they loaded up on to the Gott and quickly restricted the access to it. ==================================== Corporal Richard Cortez, Commenting on some idiot...wait, that was me... It was then that an anonymous figure appeared from the hallway and ran to Rana'rs aid. It was Jones who spotted him first, "Who's that idiot", he yelled getting Cortez's attention.
