========= when it rains it pours ========= "Miss please calm down and we will figure things out." Hawk tried to calm the young lady as she ranted and raved at him from the corridor. "Figure it out, you mean you don't even remember me, the nerve you have to tell me you think I am beautiful." She continued Hawk could tell he likely made an error last night after his encounter with the Cmdr's. The only problem was he really didn't know how or were that mistake could have taken place. He had passed out and that usually lasts until morning. Hawk reached out into the corridor and pulls her into his room. He asks her to calm down a little more loudly, as he sat her in a chair near the door. She now wide eyed and obviously paying attention sat there and waited. He started with asking her name and held out his hand when she acted as if to protest. "Were not gonna get anywhere with this if you don't talk civilized." He said. She said her name was Ensign Bev Hinderman and that she was with the bases science department. As Hawk seemed to have calmed her down and she was giving him somewhat of a chance to remember he learned more about her, and more importantly what happened last night. Turns out she was rather intoxicated last night also and she says she ran into Hawk in the main bar, the night went well and they moved to his quarters. When she awoke this morning Hawk was gone. Without as much as a goodbye, and no personal belongings so she guessed he was gone for good. Stopping her short Hawk did figure out that he had no guest when he awoke this morning, so either she was lying about who left when or she was wrong about something else. But the facts were not lining up to fit the accusation she was raising. "You said you came to my quarter last night and you were sure you were with me?" He asked as much as stated. She tried to reply but it dawned on Hawk she had never said his name. "What is my name Bev?" He added before she could reply. She stopped cold in her boots and said Lt Bernard Young, as matter of factly as she could. Hawk almost thought about tossing her into the corridor at that moment. Instead he waited a moment and she began to point back at him and ask him questions. He of course didn't listen a bit and interrupted her when he was ready. "My NAME is Junior LT Hawk James Versey, assistant engineer, USS Chimera. I am not LT Young and I am pretty sure now that you are more likely the one who made a mistake, not me." She was absolutely floored by not only his statement but how he said it. He was a bit angry and had right to be. If your going to hit someone and accuse them of "using" you should at least make sure you have the right person. She starts to cry and apologizes, Hawk not wanting to add to her grief at this moment and having vented his frustration, (and cleared his name) walked over to her and offered to walk her back to her quarters. He actually ends up not only doing that but taking her to diner that evening.
