=/\= Begin Log =/\= Keylor strolled along the corridor toward the sickbay. The Marines waiting to be escorts if needed straightened to attention as the colonel walked by. Inside the sickbay Bretam quickly located Dr. Fisher and Dr. Quiocho, who discussing some patient's care. As He approached them they both lifted their quizzical gaze to his. "Is the Counselor around," Keylor asked in a casual tone. Scott smiled and looked at Mai. "Why don't you get us some coffee and we'll finish discussing this later. The young AMO nodded and walked away. "I'm sorry Colonel, but she left here a while ago." Keylor nodded his head slightly. Scott frowned slightly and said, "Maybe the computer reported her position just before she walked out the door." Keylor nodded again, " Probably, it happens sometimes." Scott was left to wonder why the Colonel was looking for Athena as the officer gave nothing away. Keylor tapped on his commbadge. "Bretam to Wellington. Where are you at the moment?" Ke asked in a casual way. "Colonel? I am in my office." Keylor nodded to Scott and turned for the door. He pressed on his commbadge once again, "Counselor, I would like to have a word with you. I will be there shortly. Please wait for me." "Aye, Sir," Athena answered calmly. =/\= Near or In Athena's Office =/\= Athena sat in her office once again. She felt much better now that she wore dry clothing. A fresh glass of water sat on her desk as she looked at the throw pillows on the sofa. She took a deep breath and one of the pillows began to shake and then it seemed to be standing on the sofa. Another few moments and the pillow was about six feet off the ground. {Maybe I'm getting the hang of this.} Keylor walked up to the door to Athena's office and noticed a Marine lurking in the hall way near by. He had heard that Shane had requested all people to escorted by an armed marine until they were shure no more aliens were aboard. He figured this one was assigned to babysitting Athena. Keylor stopped in front of the door and pressed the chime. The door to Athena's office slid open and her eyes snapped toward the door. Much to Athena's dismay the pillow went sailing toward the person coming in the door rather than falling to the floor. As the door opened, Keylor caught a quick glimpse of something heading in his direction. Out of instinct he ducked quickly. Now bent over his looked up out of the corners of his eyes, to see if it was safe to stand up. Not seeing any other objects hurling in his direction he stood. A tap came from behind him, he looked around. The marine he had spotted earlier was behind Keylor with a pillow in his hand. The marine offered the pillow to Keylor, "That happens a bit around here. I think she does not like having the escort." He said with a smile. Keylor took the pillow and nodded in acknowledgment. He then walker in to Athena's office. She swallowed hard and stood as she recognized the person who stood in the doorway with a perplexed look on his face. Some of the color in Athena's face drained as her gaze met that of the Colonel's. "I can understand not liking some one lurking over your shoulder when you go for a stroll on the ship, but you don't have to throw things at them." He said with a smile. Keylor walked over to a chair close to where Athena was. He tossed the pillow on the couch not far away. He stopped short of the chair and looked at Athena. "So you have returned to the ship have you. Against doctors orders?" "I wasn't throwing things," she replied and motioned to the chair as she took her seat. A simple "Yes" was all the answer he got to his question. Athena didn't feel the need to explain any more than that unless asked. She sat there wondering if what she was feeling was doom settling in or relief to finally be facing the colonel. Keylor took a seat in the chair and looked abut the room. "Well, I see you have settled back in form your short absence." He scanned the room and then returned his look on Athena. "So then if you were not throwing things, how did the pillow get air born?" She surveyed all the things on her desk as she thought about what the Colonel had asked. There was a padd, a 20th century pen, a small holo-picture, a glass of water and a box of tissues. "Could I get you something to drink," she offered as her gaze fell back to the glass of water. She noticed the water in the glass shimmer as she looked up to meet Keylor's gaze. Keylor shook his head no. "No thank you." He let the issue of the pillow drop, it was not important. what was important was the fact she left the star base before being released. "SO..." he continued," You left the base with out authorization, Why?" He waited for whatever cryptic answer he was about to receive. "I was tired of being poked and prodded and there being no answers just request for the same tests over and over again," she answered truthfully. She gave the colonel a sweet smile and then continued, "Besides I missed you, sir." Keylor smiled, "Well I am honored that you missed me. But really. Should you have not stayed there longer. After all you really did not seem your self after the drakanus mission." She watched the pen on her desk as she took a second to decide to to tell the CO about her abilities. The pen began to shake a bit and then very slowly roll toward her. She quickly averted her eyes to Keylor. "All the good doctors could agree on was that I seem to be in prefect health," she said and then started to continue, "but I..." Keylor raised an eyebrow. Athena was truly not her self. If this had been a few months agon, Athena would surely had some cryptic, snyde remark, leaving Keylor wanting ofr more answers. But now she seemed to almost want to say something straight forward. What ever had happened to her on drakanus must have surely changed her. "but?" he prodded gently trying to get her to continue her thoughts. A horrified expression crossed her face as the glass of water on her desk tipped over in the Colonel's direction. Keylor noticed the change of expression on Athena's face. Paying close attention to her and nothing anything else. He was trying to read her expressions when he heard the glass on the desk clang. Keylor looked down and saw the watter spreading over the desk quickly. He jumped up out of instinct and tried to contain the water, picking up the glass in vain. He noticed Athena simply sitting there with her strange expression. "Strange. I did not feel the ship move." He wore a strange expression on his face. "I wonder why the glass tipped over. Did you...?" he asked the half sentence wondering if Athena had reached for the glass, and he did not see it, hence her tipping the glass over. This puzzled Keylor since he did not see any movement in her. "No," she answered his unfinished question, "or at least not exactly." She pulled several of the Kleenexes free of the box and started sopping up the mess. An odd expression briefly passed over Athena's face as she realized that her power seemed to work better with relaxed unconscious thoughts. Keylor looked puzzled. He was not sure how the glass tipped over, or at least he was sure he did not do it. She rid herself of the soggy Kleenexes and sat back in her chair. "Are there any other questions I can answer for you," she asked as she put her new theory to work. The pillow on the sofa behind Keylor started to raise up. Keylor sat back down and looked at Athena. "Are.... Are you feeling ok? You just don't seem your self lately." He asked. He thought about the report of Rob Richards' death and wondered if that was weighing heavily on her mind. "You have heard of Rob Richards I assume." The pillow hovered a few inches off the surface of the sofa wobbling occasionally. She was thinking about how to answer the colonel's first question when he mentioned Rob. Her gaze immediately snapped to his and the pillow that she had finally levitated to the a couple of feet of the sofa flew into the back of the CO's head. "Ufff" Keylor let out a grunt of air. He quickly stood up and turned around. "Now who did tha......" he exclaimed loudly. As he faced the entrance to the room, the door was closed, and no one was there. Keylor was not totally confused. Slowly he turned back to Athena with a puzzled look. "How.... Who...." He uttered pointing back over his shoulder. === To be continued === Col Bretam Keylor Captain & Lt Athena Wellington Counselor
