/\USS Gott - Holodeck 2/\ Aidan grumbled, as he attached the small oscillating beacon to the end of the line, throwing the whole thing into the water with a disgruntled gesture. With a frown, he watched the small device float lazily away from the hoverboat, not really seeing it. His thoughts were still placed on the small terminal on his workbench in the ODA Quarters, where all his toys and blueprints had been. Of course he had requested to download the data before blowing up the ship, and of course, his request had been quickly dismissed. After all, they were going to sacrifice the ship. What would a few quads of data matter. Aidan took a round, flat pebble from the pile next to him and made it frogjump on the water, with such a bad aim, that he hit the floater and sank his beacon. He swore under his breath and kicked the remaining pebbles into the water. Yes, his things were probably not really important compared to a whole ship. Which was so battered that it wouldn't have survived the journey back anyways. And it was ugly on top. And all his toys where history. Aidan stuck his bare feet into the cold water and let himself fall on his back, his arms crossed in front of his chest, his eyes closed to the holographic sun, shining on him. He growled through his three day beard and tried to think of something else. Ok, so, the general was history too. "Serves 'im well for blowing up me things" he muttered and programmed a small steep surface to lean against. Not only was the general history, but Guzman and Summers were the new main figures, which apparently, didn't cope too well with Jack, considering his face since those news. Aidan had seldom seen someone so sour, and most of the times it had been due to his old "extra lemon for sugar" joke. From what Aidan had observed, not only did Walsh dissapprove the choice, he seemed to be really pissed off about it. You could almost say, jealous. Aidan grinned against his will and provided himself with another pile of pebbles. As if there were anything desirable in a captains chair, he thought sarcastically. Lots of things to do, almost no free time and crew hatimg you for blowing up their stuff. He frowned again and started to throw pebbles lazily into the water. Right, a new ship was waiting for them. Big deal, Aidan thought. Probably just another rusty bucket SSF didn't know what to do with, for a shipless, captainless crew, to keep them busy. Constitution class or olympus or anything in that direction. After all, their old ship was nothing but pieces in a distant past, with all of his things turned into nothing by a single command string. Aidan growled at the thought and summoned a console to his location. He programmed a second door to appear after the entrance and added a small sign to it. "To open the door, answer this question. Did you have any implication with the Chimera being blown to oblivion?" Buttons "Yes" and "No", activation of mud pit replacing the floor on any answer. Then he added a "Liar" to appear in midair if "No" was pressed and sealed the program against premature ending by anyone but him. Or the Gotts Captain. That was all he would conceed. Then he replicated the beacon and decided to fish for a while. <<hey folks, been away from simming for a while, i'll try to get back in track. Don't promise anything tho. Cheers>> -------------------------------------------------------- PO3 Aidan Lynch Really annoyed ODA Engineering Specialist Ex USS Chimera
