===/\=== USS Thorn ===/\=== Hawk made his way from his temp quarters around deck 7 towards Rick Rodgers quarters. He had spent the past couple hours hiding and trying to recover from last nights mysteries and now he needed to resume his search. The fact that they would all see the new ship shortly meant nothing, he wanted to be a few steps ahead of the enlisted crew when they stepped on board. He knew that his exploits from last night may be all over the crew by now so he needed to dot his I's and cross the T's when they got back to work. Of course now that he thought about it, he could have been a smart ass to the base security or they could have just been having fun. They do work on a backwater station with little to do most of the time, the obviously had it in for him because he dodged the contraband investigation. They most likely found him passed out in a corridor and decided to take him to the brig. He didn't have the normal cuts and bruises that were associated with him being a "smart ass". Laughing out loud a bit as he made that assumption he finally made it to Ricks door. “Come in,” Rick said as he sat on his bed, looking over a datapadd. Hawk entered and Rick couldn’t help but shake his head with a grin on his face. “How are the accommodations of Starbase 485's brig?” Rick continued, trying to act serious as he looked over the padd. “I mean, I’ve heard they’re pretty decent and even somewhat comfortable.” “Very funny,” Hawk said. “I thought so,” Rick said, motioning Hawk to take a seat. “So, what can I do for you?” “I’ve been trying for the past couple of days to get any information I can on the Chimera-A’s specs,” Hawk said. “You wouldn’t happen to have anything, would you?” “As a matter of fact, I’m going over those specs as we speak,” Rick said, nodding to his padd. “It’s amazing how similar she is to the old Chimera so it shouldn’t take too much getting use to. There’s still quite a few differences, though, to make things interesting.” Rick grabbed a blank padd from the night stand next to his bed and copied the information onto it. He then hopped out of bed and handed the padd to Hawk. “This has provided a nice read,” Rick continued. “I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight going over everything. The Chimera-A will pack more of a punch then her predecessor and there are quite a few improvements with this refitted Katana-class. It’s an amazing ship. I can’t wait to get my hands on her.” The two spent the next couple of hours going over the specs and discussing where improvements could be made. They talked the talk that would probably drive any non-engineer insane. Lieutenant (j.g.) Rick Rodgers Acting Chief Engineering Officer U.S.S. Chimera-A and Lieutenant (j.g.) Hawk Versey Assistant Engineering Officer U.S.S. Chimera-A
