The quarters were comfortable enough for Petes liking. A lot bigger then his old Quarters on the Monitor which so he had just been informed was to badly damaged and so was being decommissioned, Pete sat at the desk and started looking over the large pile of padds laying on it when his comm badge beeped and an Officers voice came over. "Major Birt you have an incoming transmission from SSF Intel" The voice announced Pete sighed {and so it begins} he thought as he reached for his comm badge "Understood put it through to my quarters" He said turning to face the computer as the SSF symbol changed and the face of Lt. Colonel Max Bourne appeared "Colonel Bourne sir" He smiled slightly waiting for the Colonel's first question which no doubt be to ensure the channel was secure. Leaning back in his chair, Max narrowed his eyes and spoke, "I hope this line is secure." Pete nodded and pressed a button on the computers panel and the computer asked for his security clearance "Birt Omega 9 alpha 2" He stated and the computer beeped signaling that the channel was now secure "Ok sir all secure this end" He informed the Colonel "Good, good," replied Bourne, leaning forward to send a burst of information to the Major. "You're about to recieve images of Einhoften taken by an orbiting array." Pete tapped the controls and the Colonel image moved to the top right hand corner of the screen and the images started to appear in the left hand corner "I got them sir" he said looking at the images as the scrolled through slowly "What you're looking at is the complex, well what's left of it. The pictures were taken two hours ago and as you'll note, there are a few heat signiatures in and around the main building. This means it's not abandoned, however what the signiatures are coming from is a mystery as movement wasn't detected during the array surviellance." Tapping at the console again, Max sent another block of data, this time including scans of the system around the planet Sidos, "Something else was picked up by the array, signs of warp paths in the surrounding system indicate there is activity but again, from who or what is unknown." "Do we know what kind of Craft were in use at Einhoften" Pete asked wanting to know exactly what the Chimera was heading for. Leaning forward in the chair, Max shook his head, "The techies have informed me that the paths are reminiscent of Breen warp siginatures, but how much of that is supposition, i don't know." Taking a sip from his coffee mug, Bourne motioned towards what he could see was the raw data from the array, "It's not much to go on, but it's all we have for now, Major." Pete nodded slowly even the slightest possablity of Breen involvement worried him before He could reply to Bourne his comm badge sounded again +Taps+"Major Birt you are requested to attend a Senior staff meeting" +taps+ "Understood" Was the simple reply from Pete who then looked back at the screen "Is there anything else sir?" He asked picking up a blank padd from the desk and downloading the new information on to it Taking a sip from his mug, Max narrowed his eyes and thought for a second, "Keep me informed Major. I don't want Special Forces Intelligence to be the last to find out what the Chimera faces, understood? Pete nodded "Understood sir Birt out" He closed the channel and picked up the 3 padds worth of intel data and headed towards the bridge and the Senior Officers meeting.
