Jason was locked away deep in a science lab; in the bowels of the
Chimera studying the protoplaser that members of the crew had been using
to fend off the aliens. Hmming to himself he opened the diagnostic kit and
began removing tools. He was sitting indian style on the floor scanning
away and minding his own business.
Time was passing steadily but the work; well it was going slow. Jason stood
up
to stretch and look around the science lab which was empty but for himself
and his pieces of a weapon and protoplaser.
Jasons hands worked with the tools to adjust a corresponding phaser using
the same settings he had found on the protoplaser. Hmming to himself he
checked the results to find that the weapon was indeed adjusted to the
settings of the protoplaser; would it work he didnt know. Jason sighed and
sat the weapon piece down and looked around
