===== Einhoften Complex - Lab ===== With a quiet hiss, the airlock chamber finnished its depresurizing process. The pannel on the wall switched from red to green and they heard in their suit intercoms [Airlock sequence completed. Enter when ready] Heavy pressure door opened and let them inside the large room. The lights were dimmed to the level that allowed them to see the basic shapes of the room and its equipment, but not much in detail There was again that UV blue haze. It looked like someone left the lab in a hurry. The devices and equipment out of the shelves and boxes, like it was used only a minute ago. In the distant corner he saw some blinking and on the very edge of consciousness or at least he thought that he might hear quiet beeping of some device reporting some finnished experiment. {Damn now this looks like from System shock...} he thought as he remembered to one thing they learned in the Earth history on the Academy. {I just wonder where the zoombies are...} With this he followed rest of the team into the lab. He saw as Rangi and Nejor grouped near some shef wall that too much resembled morgue. He better begun to look around himself. He scanned the room with his tricorder finding nothing that would be too unusual for a lab like this. But one thing draw his attention after all. On both sides of the lab were few doors leading to smaller rooms. It looked like some private research centers or perhaps it was scientists offices even when terek couldn't think up why would anyone want office inside the biohazard area where he would be able to move only inside that suit. So to make sure he picked up one taht looked as the largest of them and made his way there. On his way he tapped a pannel on his forearm to open link to rangi: "Madam, asking for premision to explore rooms on the side of the lab.." He said looking at XO pointing his hand towards the door he wanted to visit. "Ofcourse...but have corporal Cross go with you." she said too consumed by the discussion with Nejor. Corporal Samuel Cross looked from one to another, then sighted as as he was demonstrating that taking care of some kidergarten isn't something he enjoys. But order was order so his two meter tall figure moved towards the terek looking on both sides just like it was some sort of marine reflex. {Still checking if everything is OK} thought young Bajoran as he came to him. Then he heard his voice in helmet. "All right sir, we can go now..." Though it was distorted by static in the comlink, terek thought that he heard a tone of dissaproval in marine's voice. He wasn't so far from the truth. {Damn it, I could stay on Earth if I wanted to take care of kids...} thought Samuel as he heard order from XO to take care of that young Bajoran officer. {Always the same 'song'. Marines do this, marines do that, but for what?} thoughts like this were comming through his mind as he walked to the small figure in front of him not even registering that he's looking around. "All right sir, we can go now..." He said to that scientists who was much younger then himself. It was hard to call someone of his age sir. {One of those nova carriers.... Getting fresh from the academy full of enthusiasm and gets to the posts not even seeing the true consequences of their actions, but doing everything in the name of their precious science. But none of them could see those mistakes and errors in experiments that led to loss of lives. No one! This mission was the exact example. Some crazy blue colared men done some even more crazy experiments with one of the most violent races in the galaxy and it couldn't end other then it did. A total screw up....} Terek thought a bit uneasy with the marine with him. He didn;t mind to work with people around, but to do something under the peering eye of the quiet man at his side, was really difficult. He walked slowly to the door he picked up for exploration. As he approached it he expected it to open, but nothing like that happened. But then he realized that if those are personal offices then they'll probably be locked so he reached a wall pannel, searched for the button marked 'emergency open' and pushed it. The doors slid open, revealing him an elyptic room. It was a great surprise for him, as it looked totaly different from the rest of the lab. Comfort furnishing, corner wall lights that gave the whole room soft enlightment. In the middle was a desk woith personal acces console, comfortable chair and on the both sides of the door small sofas. Behind the desk was on the wall big display with logo of the einhoften facility. "Wow, now that is some office..." He said to himself not realizing that he is now linked with the corporal, who answered him. "Yeah, scientists..." Terek looked at him, but he knew this kind of attitude from people around parents who also didn't like scientists so he had chosen a good attitude. "That's right, scientists are very picky when it comes to their surroundings. I'm thinking of getting my office set up in some similar fashion..." He said with as serious voice as he was able when he saw the digusted look onb the face of the marine. "Head up soldier, we're not all like the one that owned this office...." "Show me an example... sir." replied marine sarcasticly, but terek dicided not to react so he just shrugged his shoulders saying "Look, I know that probably you don't like me. I don't blame you. It is your choice, but we're not here to exchange the vitriolic phrases, so let's get to work." Marine stood there a bit surprised, but then he nodded a bit and without any further words he searched the room for any danger. "It is clear..." He reported when he finnished. So terek came to the desk, and sit on the chair. The console in front of him came to life displaying the logo of the Marduk project and log in screen. {Hmm... looks like the dead end...} Thought Terek as he didn't know who's was this office nothing to mention that he couldn't by any chance know the access password. But he knew a little trick. He saw it at one of his roommates on the academy. That person was quite paranoic. Always thinking that someone's after him or something like that. He also used to check academy database for the intrusions into his personal file and he knew this little trick... Terek pressed a few buttons and the screen changed. Now it showed the command input screen. Firstly he tapped a command to check the system integrity and security check. When it reported results he saw that the security protocols are really good and not in his strength to bypass them to get acces to the primary database, but he could trick them to think that he's registered user. This trick was in careful inputing the user info into the system withut breaching teh security protocols. He was worried that he didn;t remember it properly, but after a few minutes of tapping to the console and feeling that there is a little drop of sweat rolling down his nose, console gave a quiet beep and Terek knew that he made it. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get access to the main database. That was too well protected, but he gained acces with a smaller clearence to the backup files that contained most of the information. He tried to search for some useful info about the project. To his great surprise, system throew at him tons of files about the project focus, he opened one at random and when he overlooked it quickly, he saw that they Einhoften scientists were doing some research on a mind control and brainwashing. But he only got to the basic data. All other and more specific issues were 'available only to level 8 cleareance'. But with the files he found he could get gist of what was going on. He found the supply logs, lab equipment lists and with knowledge that the complex was built to socialize Jem'hadars it wasn;t hard to add one and one together. {Damn it, how could they...} he thought as he saw the list of suplies including few very interesting items. Forbidden nanotechnology, bionimetic gel, five crates of purified chirurgic tritanium, isolinear circuitry, neural connectors and so on. Thee list was quite long. And everything on it indicated that some very serious neural experiments were undergo here. He was about to try to get acces to more secured documents to have adamant evidence, but as he tried to trick the few more security measures, everything looked almost perfect and in the very moment he was about to acces the files, very unpleasant sound echoed through the lab. "Oh shit, we have to get out of here quickly..." He shouted to the marine at the door. Standing up from the chair he managed to download the lowr security files to the tricorder and then he run in heels of the sergant Cross and both of them run into the main lab where he saw nejor in one corner looking perplexed of what is going on and Rangi with... {this can't be... they couldn't get here so quickly...} one Jem'Hadar.
