Character(s):

Date(s): 2005-11-20

'Kaishaku.' Having returned to the Firehawk with Arlington, and seen to it that the agent found herself a stateroom, Sparrow had headed for his office. It was a spartan room with little in the way of decoration. The only mementos of note were contained within the little liquor cabinet that was set into the wall at the end of the desk. Otherwise, the room was devoid of character. Removing his coat and dropping into his chair, Marcus opened the terminal that rest upon the polished black carbon surface. The data crystal he'd been given in hand, he then activated the device and loaded the chip. Immediately, the system prompted him for authorization. "Sparrow, Upsilon-Psi-Six-Eight-Four," the senior agent intoned as he leaned back, a hand remaining on the terminal's input pad. The computer chirped its acknowledgment, displaying the crystal's contents. There were numerous files here, many of which looked to be the reports of a Section Cell. The others looked to be medical and psychology papers or reports, judging by the titles. Intrigued, Marcus started reading further into the data file. It didn't take to long for him to get a grasp on what this assignment was about. Essentially, someone somewhere had fucked up. The Firehawk was now being tasked with cleaning up the mess that was resulting from that; they were to act as damage control. From what Sparrow had read, one Special Agent Alex Murphy had taken it upon himself to initiate a research program to allow for the Jem'Hadar to be disguised as regular Federation citizens. Using his influence as Agent in Charge of his cell, he recruited his agents to aid him in facilitating the acquisition of key information from the Cardassians in return for a few industrial replicators; a handful of soil enhancers and some energy units (all things the Federation could easily spare at that time). Murphy had then set out to establish a facility under which the project could be run. Earmarking the Einoften complex, they had moved in and quickly started up their labs. This was all done by extension of course. Only a few of Murphy's agents had ever been in the complex. The rest had merely aided in getting the authorization required; all under the radar of course. Something had happened at Einoften though. What, was not exactly clear. One thing that was clear was that those originally in charge of the facility were no longer. A report of a Marine detachment being wiped out on the planet had been included, and orders issued by Starfleet Command to the SSF were also to be found. The Marduk Project was no officially compromised. This was serious. Leaning back in his chair, Sparrow activated a broadband neurocomm channel to the rest of the cell. {{All agents report back to the Firehawk,}} he intoned. {{There will be a briefing in forty-five minutes in the mess hall.}} <<Joint Log with Nuez falls here.>> Sparrow spent the remaining moments before the briefing reviewing the material he had acquired. There was a lot of data here, and he would have to present it to his agents shortly. Of course, he would only give a summary of the full thing and provide them with their own copies of what he'd received. Still, he wanted to be as familiar was possible with the information. Sparing a glance at his chrono, he deactivated his terminal. By now everyone should have gathered in the mess hall. If not, they would just have to make due. Donning his coat once more, he then removed the data crystal to tuck away for safe keeping. Then snatching a PADD from those scattered about his desk currently, he headed to brief his operators on their latest mission. They were to capture and neutralize another Section 31 cell; that of Alex Murphy. <<Aight... get yer butts to the mess hall. My next log (which will be in a day or two max) will give the details. I'll get a more specific rundown of the information over the OOC list too.>> Special Agent Marcus Sparrow Agent in Charge Section 31: Firehawk -- Sua Sponte
