====== en route to main engineering =======
Hawk and Oriana were almost to engineering when his commbadge came to
life
+taps+ Chief Varaan to Lt Versey
+taps+ Versey, go ahead Chief.
+taps+ Transporters are malfunctioning and there is a priority transport
+taps+ +taps+ emergency sir. Need my console is fried sir.
+taps+ Meet you on deck eight Chief, we will transport them from the
transporters there. I will be there ASAP.
Hawk turned to Oriana and advised for her to head on to engineering,
grab Ens Stephens and he would assist her, he needed to go. After his
brief chat with her, Hawk turned for the lift and sprinted away.
+taps+ Versey to cadet McPherson, are all the bugs out of the transport
system crewman?
+taps+ No sir not yet.
+taps+ well you have less than one minute to figure out how to boost and
debug the system crewman or people are gonna die.
Hawk barely waited for the reply but he was pretty sure he got the
standard, Aye sir. Either way he didn't have time to work it out, action
was to be taken.
He almost ran into the doors of the deck 8 transporter room as he was
running so fast. Chief Varaan stood behind the console and tapped away
trying to get a stronger signal. Hawk jumped to his side and noted that
the signal suddenly jumped to full strength and Hawk just stood there in
awe.
The timing was perfect for the sudden boost because Cmdr Guzman chimed
in at that moment
+taps+ "Chief beam those guys on board ... now!"
Varaan went to work and the transporter started to work it's magic. The
data streams came into sight and the shuttles occupants materialized.
Varaan notified the bridge and Hawk stood still wondering how McPherson
did it.
The bridge officer notified the group that the timing was perfect,
shuttle was destroyed two seconds after they were beamed out.
Hawk contacted McPherson to find out what exactly he did, to Hawks
amazement it was simple, he pulled up the transporter control from the
onboard shuttles. Isolated ample system resources and basically routed
the controls through two isolated terminals, long story short he used
the shuttle transporter all at once. Excellent idea, was all that Hawk
could comment.
Hawk noting that all was well here, at least for the moment he went back
to main engineering, the probes should be in operation by now......
