*** Inside the Complex Buildings * Sidos***
N'et'vor Rangi and Weaver, looked as one towards the door where Lieutenant Terek, followed by Corporal Cross came running out.
"He has activated an alarm" N'et'vor said needlessly, for the sound was enough to wake to the dead.
"What happened?" Rangi asked, taking a step in Tereks direction.
N'et'vors way was blocked. "You can stay riiiiight there." Weaver warned him, shifting his rifle slightly to emphasis that he was ready to fire on the slightest reason.
The Jemhadar frowned at the weapon then met Weavers eye.
As Terek and Cross emerged from the lab, he heard Rangis' question so he reacted:
"Madam, I'm afraid that I've accidentaly switched on the alarm, we'd better get moving...." but then he stopped in the middle of the sentence as he saw a Jem'hadar standing behind Rangi being held by Weaver. The perplexed look on his face was really eloquent, but still he managed to say:
"What is going on here? Who's he?" nodding towards the tall figure behind the XO.
Rangi glanced back as much as her orange suit would allow then replied,
"This is one of the Jemhadar from the programme."
She stepped towards Terek and touched the pad on her sleeve, cutting external communication so that only her team could hear her.
"He's unarmed. We found him hiding in the store room and he explained that he's been evading the Marduk. He knows alot about the situation here and has offered to show us to a secret underground shuttle bay. I'm not altogether sure I trust him though."
She looked back towards N'et'vor who spoke up..
" We should leave here. They will soon arrive. Please...lets head to the shuttles."
Terek was a bit confused, but as Rangi began to explain through the intercom, he just stared on her and at the Jem'Hadar behind her. Then he said that they should move out to the shuttle.
{So let's hope he's not some sort of bait or something that will lure us into the trap...} thought Terek suspiciously and then decided not to keep it only for himself so he tapped his left wrist switching only to comlink with Rangi and said into her helmet..
"Are you sure, we can trust him? It all could be some trap... they could set him here just in case someone will get this far. And he may be here to lure us into some ambush...."
Then he sighed a bit. This wasn't natural to him,to think like that, but in the given situation it was acceptable, even when he was feeling as a suspicious marine, more than like a scientist who should be open to new ideas. Thoughts were running through his head in the FTL speeds and then he came to a conclusion.
He sighed and said quietly to Rangi:
"Please forget what I've just said... I was a bit paranoid probably. On behalf of the evidence we've found in the office it is a probable theory that one of the subjects managed to be altered as it should be, though improbable..."
Rangi took a moment to answer. "Thats what he said...others were altered too, not just him. It was successful in varying degrees...and some have been physically altered. I think we have to go along with what he says. We need to get out of here and by the sounds of it, the ODA are having some fun and games."
She waited for Tereks responce mindful of the sounds from outside the room.
She was right, Terek might be suspicious, but the Jem'hadar who claimed about himself that he's peaceful was their only choice of getting away of this base with any chance better than in metal boxes.
"All right, I'm ready then..." said as he switched again on the public mode with his suit so everyone in the room including the Jemmie not wearing the suit could hear it.
Rangi took a deep breath and turned back to Weaver and N'et'vor.
Also opening the communication she said evenly "Alright....Show us where this place is."
Weaver grudgingly moved aside and N'et'vor pointed to the far wall. "Through there." he said and moved past them.
Okrin, who had been engrossed in his own investigations and post mortem walked quickly to join Rangi and Terek.
"Wait!" Rangi said and N'et'vor turned back with a frown on his face. "You'll need a isolation suit...wont you?"
He considered her for a moment then nodded slowly. "Yes...thats true. Not in here but in the underground tunnel.Thankyou."
He moved away to find the suit in the airlock and Okrin came to stand beside her.
Rangi glanced at him and then returned to watching n'et'vor. "He might be our only hope of escape from here." she said. "We have to take of him."
