Jason waited for the aliens to appear; as if taking a cue the ghostly glow
slowly began to appear followed by the specteral apparitions of the aliens.
"Here they come" Jason called out. Keylor appeared partially in his EVA suit
"Corporal, hold them off for a few more minutes. We are almost ready to go."
Jason called back in a marine snap "Aye SIR!"
"Fall back to the shuttle and close the door!" Jason did not respond but
motioned for the other two marines to get inside he fired a couple more
shots and retreated inside the shuttle; they might not have stopped them but
they damn sure scared them and they damn sure slowed them down. He dropped
into the copilots seat and let his hands dance gently across the control
panel.
The Starfleet Pilot waved and Jason watched as Keylor opened the doors;
almost immediately Jason could tell this was gonna be a hell of a ride; the
shuttle banged off the steel deck causing Jasons head to jar against the
seat. He quickly helped adjust for it and slowly they made their way towards
the door. Jason couldnt help but wonder about what Keylor was going to do in
order to get back.
He watched as the shuttle exited the event horizon and pulled away from the
station........
