===== Bridge, USS Chimera ===== Shane paid little attention to faint voices from the 'backgroud' of the bridge. Shane wasnt aware about that, but those voices were saying: "This is Warhammer One, requesting permission to do a flyby" "Negative Warhammer One, the pattern is full", said someone waho was in charge of flight control. Shane jerkd slightly as suddenly the under side of the Warhammer fighter craft appeared just in front of the bridge ... and flow fastly past. "What the ...!" he cried and the PADD he was holding crashed on the groud in front of the CO's seat. "That was Warhammer One sir" exclaimed the Flight control officer, "LT. Mitchell ignored the denying to do a flyby" Shane sighed and rolled his eys. Not only that his ship was full of always-ready-to-get-drunk-and-start-a-fight marines now even his ad-hoc figter pilots caught the Top-gun syndrome. Shane waved with his hand to dismiss the matter and bended down to get his PADD. He could do very little now ... the fighters were just returning from a victorious battle and he could not punish the leader of the wing cause a simple flyby ... Reading the content of his PADD, Shane dived into his thoughts again. The bridge crew already got accustomed to the new CO and his habits. They knew that when Guzman looked like miles away ... he WAS miles away in his mind. The report he's got from flight control confirmed that the Jem'hadar have lost one shuttle, three shuttles were disabled and under Chimera's control and one managed to escape. Last it was seen by the sensors it was heading towards the Einhoften facility. It managed to cloak again, so it was nothing worth to try to pursue it. The damage report from the Warhammers was quite an optimmistic one. One suffered medium damage, second light damage, the third just weakened shields. Counted together ... not a too bad count for the very first combat action of the Chimera's fighter wing. {maybe} Shane thought {maybe we should create a stable fighter wing staff ... it could prove to be a great asset to the ship's own firepower} The three Marduk shuttles were now under Chimera's control, 4 marines on each. Initial reports from the three Marine gropus said that no Marduk survived, eighter shot by the marines or killed themselves when seeing no other way. From the 12 civilian hostages on the Marduk shuttles 11 survived the asault, one was killed by a Marduk. The first three were already on board the Chimera, the other eight were still on board the captured shuttles. Shane looked up from his PADD and turning to face C'el he asked: "Miss C'el, are the captured shuttles capable of docking in the shuttle bay?". Without a second to loose she replied: "No sir, none of the shuttles does have a working propulsion system and therefore they are not maneuver capable. I suggest tractor beam". Shane noded: "Do that cadet, but carefully ... there are civilians on board." Then he turned to Andy and said: "Lieutenant Foster, please take care about our guests after medical will check them with quarters and stuff." Foster noded and said in his genuie (bored) manner: "Aye, sir". Shane then tapped the COMM pannel on his chair: "Guzman to Engineering" +TAPS+ Lieutenant Versey here sir + "Lieutenant" Shane said, "please take care about the damaged fighters as soon as possible. We will maybe need them soon and I would like to have an operational wing as the disposal and if you have crew free, you can check the Marduk runabouts as well" There was a pause and Shane could very well imagine what is the Engineer thinking about 'crew free'. +TAPS+ Understood sir, we'll take care about it + "Very well Lieutenant" said Shane to made Hawk feel appreciated, "Guzman out". Several of the bridge crew started to grin as they have seen that Guzman was again in his "ordering-storm mood". Shane tapped his COMM pannel again and said: "Guzman to Palmer, Commander please get in touch with LT. Oriana and have a look at the captured Marduk shuttles. Maybe we will be lucky and find something intersting inside. This little part of the adventure went better then expected. Three captured shuttle for Engineering and Science to have fun with, Eight civilians to get informations from ... was NOT that bad.
