<<OOC ... I repeat myself ... when not knowing what to log about the plot, you can always log some charcter development or just some funny log. Anyone remember what was its name? ;-P >> ====== NCO Crew quarters, USS Chimera ===== Peterwent over to his bed and lied down. Hands behind his head, he was staring at the ceiling ... lost in his thoughts. Those were not too happy thoughts, but lets take it in appropiate order. Peter was 23 and already one year in Starfleet. He wasnt patient enough to enlist in the Starfleet academy and wait another 4 years prior to get an assigment on a starship. After the NCO Camp training on Vulture III, Peter was assigned to the USS Mendelejev – a nova class science vessel. There he served for nine months, during witch the Mendelejev cruised along the borders of the Spinward march and cartographed the location. Beeing a Xenobiology Specialist, Peter had not much to do during this mission. The best work for him during those nine months were to analyse some sculptured spores of an ancient living organism ... but the organism turned to be a common bacteria originated from a nearby class M planet. Upon return of the Mendelejev to Starbase 742, Peter was surprisingly moved to Special forces and assigned on the USS Chimera. Peter was quite surprised about the transfer y himself ... and learned only later that the ship was quite short of crew and it was supposed to leave Starbase Bragg in a record time ... so the criteria for beeing picked for service on the Chimera werent that hard as on usual SSF ships and his father (Fleet LtCmdr) spoke a good world with some Special forces high up on his account. To make a long story short ... Peter was on board the Chimera but the troubles just have began! Well, one thing on board the Chimera was special. Woman. Yeah, woman ... there were not many on board, but those who served on this ship were all more or less pretty ladies, or as some of his fellow science guys said ... "Pin-ups". Most were young and partialy even unattached ... so Peter tried his luck more then once ... by more then one lady. But well ... every coin has two sides, the other side of the Chimera coin were the marines. The Chimera was manned by six teams of six man ... not neccesary marines, but a majority of those guys WERE marines. Young, strong, vital, trained ... that were Chimera's marines. Quite a majority of the ladies on board seemed to be attraced by the ODA badge on their uniforms and guys from science like Peter were "Second league" to them. Peter and his friends tried to get some female attention the other evening in the NCO bar, but it ended catastrophal ... three ODA guys were not too impressed by Peter's attempt to steal away the ladies ... and after some verbal insults (by both sides) ... the little intermezzo threatened to end up in a brawl. Luckily ... all the hot heads went quite cold as an elderly man appeared in the bar. It was Chief Petty officer Rajcina, who was one of the most senior NCOs on board. Quickly and effective, he threatened to all to be "send as soap to the waste disposal duty". The guys knew trooubles when they encountered them and they realised that Waste disposal duty would be only a part of their punishment. In the end, ODA guys and Peter and his friends went all their own way. Well, it was to expect ... when Peter saw his duty roster for today ... he only sighed. Cargo room 4 watch duty for 12 hours.
