OOC: Sorry for having been away for a while there was a death in the family and i didn't feel up to much but i'm back now. =/\= Shuttlebay =/\= Jason had been called to assist with the repairs to the fighters, It seemed that Commander Guzman was expecting more trouble and wanted every combat craft the chimera had in tip top condition ready for what ever else the Jem Hadar had to throw at them. Jason would have prefered to be piloting one of the fighters rather then acting as ground crew. Jason pulled out a hydro spanner from his equipment belt and set about replacing a control console that had been damaged during the battle. All in all the fighters had faired quite well even with the inexperanced pilots who had been flying them. Jason smiled as he put the new console in place and began reattaching the relays before closing the console and powering up the flight systems and running a diagnostic. He watched the screen as the system tests were running once finished he powered down the system and turned heading back out of the fighter. Jason entered the next fighter on his list this was the last one and it only needed a couple of command relays replacing it would only take about 15 minutes to replace and test the system so he opened the cover and detached the first relay as the pilot entered. "You have 10 minutes to finish up and then i'm launching" The Lt anounced as he sat down in the pilots chair "It'll take 15 minutes to finish sir" Jason replied as he removed the 2nd relay and placing it in a box he started to install the 1st relay "I hope your not scared of flying then" The Lt Joked "Because i'm launching and if your not finished your coming to" Jason nodded and tried to hide the little smile "That fine by me sir" He said Jason continued working when a second Officer entered "Joe" The new officer called to the first one "Your Co Pilot won't be coming he slipped and broke his arm we are trying to locate a replacement but you might have to go it alone" Jason turned to the new officer "Excuse me i used to be a pilot a long time ago" The office looked down at Jason "What have you flown Ensign" He asked Jason smiled "Tornados and Harrier jump jets mostly, But i did train on runabouts and Scorpian fighters at the Academy" "Tornados and Harriers?" He officer looked confused "Starfleet don't have anything by those names" "Nope but back in 1993 they were the front line fighters of the day" Jason smiled thinking back to those days "Man do i miss the old days" He looked up at the officer who by now was looking very confused "Oh forget it read my service record you will understand then" The officer just shook his head "Ok Ensign you just became a co pilot finish waht your doing i'll have someone bring you a flight suit" ::20 minutes later:: Jason sat at the controls next to Joe and sighed slightly "well i'm ready" He said Ensign Jason Stephens Assistant Engineer Uss Chimera - A
