===== Shane's quarters ===== +TAPS+ Guzman to Acheson. Understood. Lieutenant, do everything you can, use force fields, stun grenades even try to beam it out ... just remove the alien from this ship. Shane briefly glanced at the musli mess on his sofa but quickly turned back and waved with his hand. Now was not the time to worry about food stain on his furniture. Evidently was the situation slipping out of hands again and till now thay've found no confirmed way how to get rid of the aliens. Even now is one of those 'creatures' roaming deck 11 freely. He wanted to follow this action but he knew with his poor combat skills, he would be more a burden to Acheson then help, so he decided that best place for him now would be ... the bridge. Through the sensors he would know what was happening on deck 11 and maybe have a chance to help Acheson and his ODA team to remove the alien from teh ship. For a second Shane thought about the tea invitation by Athena but then dismissed the thought. {She will understand} Now he needed to be on the bridge as soon as possible ... To wait for an escort was no alternative, nor was a quick 'jog' to deck one. Beeing in charge had one benefit, he could do whatever he wants to, without someone asking him questions ... . He tapped his Comm badge: +TAPS+ Guzman to transporter room one. I need a site to site transport directly to the bridge. The reply came almost in instant: +TAPS+ Transporter room one. Stand by for transport Commander ... ===== Bridge ===== The blue haze enveloping Shane slowly dissapeared and Shane found himself on the bridge ... as he wished. He saw the surprised looks from the bridge crew ... afterall it was no common habit for the XO to appear via transport ... Only the two Security guys that were keeping security watch on the bridge reacted. Both pulled out their weapons and aimed at Shane. Only a second later ... as they have recognized the XO, they lowered their weapons and beamed an apological smile at Shane. Shane turned immediately to Ens. Tripper who sat behind Main Ops and was staring at him like he saw a ghost. "Ensign" he started, "what readings do you have from deck 11?" he shot his questions. Tripper looked down at his console and tapped it nervously. Sure, noone liked his boss to appear out of nowhere and immediatelly asking questions ... He looked up at SHane and opened his mouth for speaking when he was interrupted by an incomming call: +TAPS+ Acheson to bridge, establish level 10 forcefields on Sections Alpha to Lamda and maintain as long as you can. Tripper looked up questionly at Shane. Even if surprised about the request like the others, Shane quickly noded. Tripper started to tap his console away. After several seconds he looked up from that console again and said towards his XO: "Sir, we have to reactivate the primary power matrix at deck 11 to be able to establish and keep level 10 forcefields." "Make it so" Shane used an VERY know phrase of an VERY famous fleet Captain ... Jean Luc Picard. Still a bit nervous about the sudden appearance of the XO, Tripper tapped his console with remarkable speed. {His adrenaline level must be sky high} Shane thought and tried his best not to smile. "Force fields established" Tripper informed the ODA Commander. ===== 10 minutes later ===== Shane walked nervously around the bridge in circles. Since they have activated the force fields, Acheson havent contacted the bridge and according Guy Tripper, the internal sensors on deck 11 were of no use at the moment eighter. Virtually ... SHane knew nothing about what was going on there ... That was making him nervous, but he didnt wanted to pass his nervousity to Acheson with asking him about a status report every 5 minutes, so he paced along the bridge, like a big red vulture searching for food ... erm ... informations. Just to wait and wait and wait ... that was not Shane's nature ... he needed to do something, help with something or at least inspecting something so he decided that until Acheson wont report again, he will leave the bridge and have a look at the sickbay. He was concerned about the fate of the injured crew and wanted to know what progress they doctors have made. "Lieutenant York" he said to the tall HELMs man, "you have the Conn, contact me immediately as there will be some news from deck 11" "Aye, aye .. sir" came the reply. ===== End of log ===== LtCmdr.
