====== Bridge, USS Chimera ====== Shane was sitting once again in his seat considering the recent events and the possible effects of those events to the crew and the mission. There did three major events happen and only one was a good one. Two to one wasnt the best what a CO could wish for. The only good news was the fact that the ODA team left the Chimera and was heading down to Einhoften once again. Almost all ODA members took part on this offensive mission, armed to teeths. They were taken down by the three Warhammer runabouts. The Warhammers provided quite some protection for the troops in case of an attack while in space and once dispatched near Einhoften, they could be of use as air strike support. The Warhammers were supposed to be hiding from direct views from the facility but could strike almost anywhere on the groud near Einhoften within 5 minutes from a call for support by the ODA team. This time were the ODA guys armed with heavy armour and the very best weapons that were in the chimera's armoury. This was going to be a hell of a battle. Shane didnt liked this approach much ... the danger of loosing many crew in the battle was great, but since he had little other choices and there were still human crew held prison on the facility, he agreed with the battle plan developed by the ODA XO – 2LT. Cortez. Just prior of the ODA team departing from the Chimera, Shane contacted two marine SSF units dispatched within 12 hours by warp from Einhoften and asked the respective Commanders for support. He was a bit surprised about the fast agreement by the marines ... but he was told that SSF Command already foresaw the need for additional firepower and ordered several marine units to be ready to help. Shane was assured that within the next 12 hours warp capable runabouts will deliver a marine force of at least 100 men. Those guys will eighter aid Chimera's ODA team in assault or man the facility or act as TEMP crew when the ODA will manage to get control of the base before their will arrive. The second event was the little shuttle fight with the last Marduk shuttle ... just in front on the shuttle bay. Shane was informed that Lt. Versey ... an Engineer who was working inside one of the shuttles detected the Marduk shuttle and destroyed it by raming it. Luckily, the Lt managed to beam himself back to Chimera before his shuttle exploded. Sickbay reported that the emergency transporter event didnt went much as expected and the Lt had to be placed in medical care for the time beeing. The other part of the story was that yet another portion of damage was inflicted to the shuttle bay. The shuttle bay suffered severe damage before ... first by the captured Marduk shuttles, then by the landing attempt of Lt. Terek and now by this accident. Shane felt a bit sorry for the Engineering crew ... there was sure a LOT of work in the shuttle bay for them. The third event was a recent call from medical. It was Ensign Okrin, their former ODA CO and now AMO. With the help of Lt. Terek he discovered that the human Einhoften crew was infected by some sort of a patogen – a virus that seemed to be dormant until recently. One of the symptomes was agressivity and many of the Einhoften crew that were now on the Chimera seemed to be affected. Luckily ... Okrin managed to establish quarantine fields around the sickbay and the rooms where the Einhoften crew was now waiting, but still a contamination of the ship was not wholy impossible. Few minutes ago Rangi headed down to the Sickbay and he hoped that the joint efforts of Medical, Science and her will handle this situation.
