"So what are the updates?" Broder asked as he entered his office.
DTIS, who was already inside only cocked a brow then straightened with
his hands clasped firmly behind his back, "Special Forces have ordered
one of their vessels back from the facility and a cell has been
dispatched to locate the rogues."
Nodding to himself, Broder passed the A.I. and dropped into the seat
behind his desk. "He's quick..." he began, sliding a PADD towards him,
"What about the Marduk, are they all accounted for?"
"A percentage are accounted for, however..." DTIS paused and narrowed
his eyes, "a larger percentage are still loose in Federation space. It
was reported only a few days ago that their were escapees from the
facility on Silos." The Avatar moved from where he was standing and
approached the desk before the Senior Agent. "It is suspected that
communications to the Gamma quadrant were discovered."
"The Gamma quadrant? They were contacted by Jem'Hadar?" Questioned
Broder, taking his eyes from the PADD and eying the Avatar.
"It is unsubstantiated, however Special Forces Intelligence have
dispatched an operative to the Gamma quadrant to follow up the
suspicions. According to the data at Special Forces, the operative
should report in soon," DTIS replied intently.
"As soon as that communique comes in i want a copy," ordered the
Russian. "Until then inform the board that the Red Union is on standby
for deployment if necessary."
Nodding, the A.I. took a step back and then fizzled out of existance;
his destination likely the bridge.
Leaning back in his chair a moment Broder considered what was happening
to the Federation. Dogs were at the door and scratching with rabid
verosity and all that stood between them and their chew toys were
Section 31 and the few facets of Starfleet's Special Forces. And it was
all because of rogue Agents, that was the irony; the very people charged
with protecting the citizens of the Federation were the ones responsible
for its possible demise.
"Anyway..." the Agent in Charge muttered to himself. Lifting the PADD
from the surface of the desk he flicked it on and began to scroll down
the information within. It was the data recovered from the attempted
breach of the Thunder records and what Saraceni had discovered was
somewhat peculiar.
It seemed that 'someone' - Broder guessed whoever was working inline
with Dantrell - had banded together some half wittedly adept information
crackers to route out any possible threats. It was highly unlikely that
they'd found the Thunder's signals on purpose but more likely a stumbled
discovery. However despite the way in which the Thunder had been found,
the result was just the same; someone had found them and that had to be
dealt with.
First things first though, Dantrell needed to spill names and the union
needed to end Mojav's threat to expose the conspiracy behind President
Gustav's appointment.
"Robespierre," he began, opening a channel, "i need to see you."
