=Ship's Brig= =U.S.S. Chimera= As the doors closed behind him, and before he could search out the person currently in charge, a marine walked up to Rick. "Lieutenant Rodgers," was all the marine said. "What the hell happened?" Rick asked. "Well, Mr. Versey tried to start a fight with an Andorian, an engineer named Broian, after Mr. Versey had caused a scene in engineering. When PFC Valiant and myself tried to break it up, he attacked us. We had no choice than to take him down by force." "You know he recently suffered a concussion and you could have made matters worse," Rick said. "Yes, sir, but we had no choice. He became very violent ..." "Where is he?" Rick said, interrupting the marine. "In cell four. He just received medical attention and should be regaining conscience in a couple of minutes." "I would like to see a full copy of the report on this incident when it's ready," Rick said. "We'll have it to you in a couple of hours." Rick nodded and walked into the main holding area. He saw Hawk laying on a bunk in one of the cells. Rick walked up the cell and stood there as Hawk started to move. Hawk had violent thoughts, his dreams were painful and all he did was fight in them. He knew they were dreams and yet he was still mad. He began to awake and he didn't know were he was, or had been. The ceiling above was not his quarters, he knew that much. He rolled his head to the side and noted an energy field, "HUH" he muttered out loud. "What the hell is going on...!" He stated with a groggy, yet aggressive tone. He felt as though he had a hang over, one helluva hang over. And the hum from the force field was pissing him off. It was then he noted Rick standing on the other side almost studying him like a bug. Why was he just standing there...! "Ok pal, let me out of here, this isn't funny any more." He growled as he slowly stood and approached the barrier. Hawk's mind began to cloud over as he made the last steps to confront Rick. Now all he could register was the EXTREME feeling of anger in him. "RAHHHHHHH!" Hawk screamed as he slammed into the energy field. Rick leaped back because of instinct, even though he knew Hawk couldn't get through the forcefield. Hawk slammed back to the ground as it pulsed energy though his body. He writhed in pain which only made him more violent. He slammed himself into the barrier a total of 4 times before he passed out. Rick went from being angry to concerned during the last minute. When he first arrived in the brig, he believed that Hawk was just drunk. Still, this wasn't like Hawk, even an intoxicated Hawk. Now, after this display, Rick knew that alcohol had nothing to do with this. This wasn't the Hawk he knew. This man was a mad man ... a caged animal. Rick yelled for some help, and when the security crewmen on duty saw Hawk laying unmoving on the deck, they lowered the forcefield. They kept their phasors aimed at Hawk while Rick knelt down to check his pause. +tap+ "Rodgers to sickbay." +tap+ "Sickbay here." +tap+ "I have a medical emergency in the brig," Rick said. Moments later, Hawk was laying on a biobed, held down by restraints but still out cold, while one of the docs was looking him over on one side and Rick stood on the other side. "He went toe-to-toe with a brig cell force field and lost," Rick said as the doctor continued his examination. "There's more wrong with him than just being a little violent." "I agree. These readings are way off." Rick looked down at the unconscience engineer then back up at the doctor. "Can you do anything for him?" Rick asked. "Perhaps ..." the doc said as he walked over to a nearby table and plucked up a hypospray. "A series of changed molecule injections over the next couple of hours should do the trick." The doctor administered the first injection. "In the meantime, until they take effect, I want him to remain restrained," the doc continued. "OK," Rick said. "I would like to stay here if that's all right." "No problem," the doc said as Rick grabbed a chair and pulled it next to the biobed. Acting Lieutenant Rick Rodgers Chief Engineering Officer U.S.S. Chimera and Lieutenant (j.g.) Hawk Versey Assistant Engineering Officer U.S.S. Chimera
