===/\== LT jg Bev Hinderman's Quarters, New Years Day 2406 ==/\== Hawk had a bit too much too drink at the Christmas party but that seemed to be the norm for him. Oh well he thought, he had been in quite a bit of pain from all the crap he went through in the days before the party. It had been a week since his concussion and a few days less since he had "mad engineers disease" as it had been coined by some of his crewmates. Newly promoted LT jg Jason Stephens even went as far as carrying around a "prop" phaser to defend himself when Hawk was around. All joking aside He was healing fine and enjoyed the nice slower pace that he was working as he healed. Rick made sure that he wasn't working in the Jeffries tubes or on anything harder than routine diagnostics and the like. Hawk figured this was as close to "desk duty" as he would likely ever come, and he didn't want to make a habit out of it either. There wasn't anything that tested him either physically or mentally and that just wasn't him. Bev shifted and then turned over in bed which pulled Hawk from his deep thoughts. He had been either staying in her room or she in his since the Christmas party so she could "keep and eye" on him. He was getting used to the relationship that was developing between the two. He pulled himself up from the bed and made his way to his clothing. They had enjoyed drinks last night and rang in the new year in her quarters, just the two of them. No need to join in one of the ships parties neither felt up for the socialization. After a few brief words Hawk left for is quarters so he could get ready for the some....recreation. He was on leave for the next couple days, and the irony there was he was feeling much better and could actually enjoy it. First order of business was to secure the holodeck, he had something in mind and needed the holodeck to create the perfect setting....
