-= USS Chimera =- Okrin sat crossed legged on his meditation mat, in his quarters. That is how he prayed for the prophets on a daily basis. Now he was reflecting on the past events on Sidos and the ship afterwards. He had found it odd to be selected for the away team. Normaly it was the Chief who had that privilege. Not that he did not have the experience for it, just that it was like a little tradition. Strangely enough, his mission on the ground, was mostly as a special forces operator mission profile rather than a doctor. He did not mind, it reminded him of the good times as the ODA Company commander. He also felt left to fend for himself in sickbay. Ra'nar was an absent leader, always in his office, with closed door. He felt like he was in charge but would never be attending senior staff meetings or have the authority he required to properly work with his current line of duties. His work on the ship's contamination had been less than satisfactory in his own opinion, more should have been done. He also noticed he had not been thikning about Thalia for quite a while, as if she had disappeared from his mind and heart. He knew why it happened and understood the reasons he felt stranged to the only woman he ever loved. Or was it liked? What did she see in him. No more family, Always away on operations, while she kept static in one location. He was not dating or husband material for that matter. It made him sad, in a way. At the rate he was going he would never have a family, which he really wanted to counter his own lonelyness. He recalled the time when he requested the Chimera again. He had hoped to work with Rangi in Medical, but that had changed. He had hoped to see Athena, who he did not cross paths with yet. Keylor, his first unit commander was gone from the Chimera, and this very ship was not the original. He did not know most of the staff on the ship, he felt alone in a crowd. He felt the last mission was accomplished too fast. He got to his feet and left his quarters for the transporter room. The entire crew was allowed off the ship on some Space hotel. He had never heard of it, and rumors of Federation ships docked to it had him wondering how such an installation came to be. WHere it was from? where it was going? why it was doing what it did. Since he was not a dept chief, like he used to, he was going to endulge in what this place had to offer, with some caution just in case... Ens.
