*Living Dream Hotel * Room 28 * Level 12* Rangi sat for a while on the sofa, delighting in the room she and Shane would occupy but then, deciding she wasnt dressed for her surroundings, got to her feet and made her way towards the bedroom. Near the doorway was a tall silver urn filled with flowers that Rangi had never seen before. Their fragrance was sublime. She leaned forward, gently touching one of the apricot coloured petals, closed her eyes and breathed in . {Mmmm..heavenly...} She opened her eyes, fingering the petals. {I wonder where you come from} Her lips curved to a smile as she admired the blooms and then, heading into the bedroom,she collected her bag which had been left just inside the room and carried it to the bed. She pulled back the zips and unpacked her clothes, placing them in piles on the satin coverlet. Some she layed in the top most drawer of a large chest, the others were hung in the cavernous interior of the huge wardrobe. She put her case in there too, stood back and eyed the modest collection thoughtfully. *Sometime later* Her hair shone, minimum makeup had been applied. Rangi twirled round in front of the mirror. "Mmm..not bad" she murmured and feeling a glow of happiness, turned away sure that shane would arrive at any moment. She glanced into the bathroom where the scent of the bath bubbles still hung in the warm air, saw that it was left neat and tidy for Shane and wandered back into the sitting room. She stood for a minute looking at the holoscreen with its view of distant mountains, summer meadows and small clouds in a sunlit sky. A movement caught her eye and she peered closer. {Deer?} she thought in surprise. {They think of everything!} Sure enough a small group of the animals, just large enough to see, had appeared at the edge of the woodland.They vetured out a little way and rangi watched them, entranced, almost believing she watched them from a window. Suddenly the stag bolted back into the trees and the three hinds followed him. it was as if they had never been there. Rangi stood back {Amazing} she thought with a slight shake of her head. She moved around the room, smelling the flowers again, touching their petals and this time stopped in front of the wall padd that Z aba had pointed out to her. Sure enough there was the list of entertainments available and at the bottom, the slot where he had shown her two discs. She reached for them,turned the top one round to read the script and was intrigued to see her name there.Next moment a frown of nonunderstanding appeared on her face. {These are 'my' programmes} she thought reading the short list {How come they're here? That's really..} A soft three toned chime souded in front of her. She looked up quickly and saw a small screen had activated and Z abas face, concerned and somewhat agitated looked down at her. "Commander.I apologise most profusely for interrupting you" he said ,still with utmost politeness yet obviously needing to talk to her urgently. "Thats alright." Rangi replied wondering what was the cause of his call. "Commander...one of your crew has been taken ill." he paused and she saw him grow pale. "Please come to the infirmary." "Ofcourse I will...where is it" She looked at him , her expression urging him to answer...fast. "I will transport you there." A moment later she was enveloped in green light. * Hotel Infirmary* "Ah, Commander Summers," said Ponozka, shifting rapidly into an attitude of warmth and hospitality. "Thank you for responding so rapidly." Rangi looked at the two men. "I was told one of my crew had taken ill?" she asked looking over Lorst's shoulder in an attempt to identify the person under the force field.
