====== Docking area, Living dream Hotel ======
After dealing with the new CMO Shane walked swiftly towards the Engineering area. He knew that the promotion and appointment of the new CMO wasnt done in the traditional way ... but strangely it doesnt bother him much. Prior to heading down to Sickbay he uploaded the crew's Bio and recorded the promotion ... this way Starfleet wont cry about the promo and the way the CO will actually perform the promotion was always up to the CO. In this case ... Shane.
IN the back of his mind was a thought that he should check LT Rodgers in Engineering and see how is he and his guys copying with the Warp problems. On the other hand, Chimera's Engineers were experienced and capable officers and the last thing they were in need of was the CO peering over their shoulders on their work. {Afterall its R&R} Shane thought and dismissed the thought about visiting Engineering. {They'll handle it} he thought and turned back ... towards the air lock connection with the Living dream hotel.
After checkig his Identity by a "thumb-scan", Shane left the Chimera and entered the hotel. The all obvious scenery of luxury impressed the young Commander and Shane noded in approval. This hotel was more then sure worth of spending a day or two in.
Upon Shane's arrival in the Hotel a tall alien approached him. "I am Chla'dny" said the alien "and I am your guide in the Living dream hotel and I'll do my best to help you feel here more then wellcome". The voice of the alien was pleasant to listen to, but a very slight cold and hard undertone was present there. You wouldnt notice it, when you wouldnt know what to look for ... and Shane didnt notice it at all.
Chla'dny was quite different from the other aliens that were assigned to each of the hotel's visitors as guides and aides. He was tall and light blue skinned. His head was a bold one, the back of his skull was about twice the size of an human and the brain of this creature must have an immense size. His eyes were of antracit black, without lids.
Shane looked at the alien and for a bit of a moment thougt that there is something strange and dangerous about Chla'dny ... but the thought vanished as fast as it was created and Shane 'knew' that this alien was his friend and there only to 'help'. He noded: "Great. I am Commander Shane Guzman and I am quite sure that Commander Rangi Summers awaits me already ... somewhere here".
The alien hold his gaze on Shane for a moment longer before noding: "Certainly. Miss Summers is awaiting you in your rooms. I hope you will like those rooms, if not please dont hesistate to tell me and we will find you more suitable ones."
Chla'dny was exerting his powers on this human since teh ship droped out of warp and stranded in this sector. He was one of the PSY ... an alien race who's role in the Hotel was to 'serve' the Captains of the docked ships. His secondary duty was to assure that the Captain was happy and content all of the time, but his primary duty was ...
Not aware about anything wrong, Shane walked slowly along the promenade on this deck and enjoyed the sight of many wonderfull things that were to see. In one place was a big chessboard placed ... size of a room, figures half the size of a man. At the moment an unlikely duo was playing the chess-game. White player was a tall Vulcan, black player a huge Klingon. As expected, the Klingon was on a loose. Just as Shane passed aling the chess board, one of the Vulcan's bishops moved in the square where the black tower was located. Intantly the tower vanished and the Klingon cursed in dismay. It was obvious that this wasnt the first lost game this day ...
A few meters along an exotic looking human female dancer was performing her arts and her brown-sun-burned body moved in the rhytm of a quiet music. It was a variation of old-Earth's oriental dance and Shane had to admit that the woman was beautifull and very skilled in dancing.
Just a few dozen meters away from the dancer sat a bearded man in front of a half-finishd painting. A meter away from his sat a pretty young woman and the artist was doing his best to do her portrait. He wasnt using any colors or brushes ... just a piece of chalk, but the portrait was still very beautifull one.
Shane was quite amazed about the many things that were to see in this hotel. An outburst of noise made him look to his right and he saw an entrance to a sort of pub. Shane could barely see inside the ar cause the half-transparent crystal door, but he had the feeling that the guys inside the bar were having a great time. He had to grin whle thinking that the bar was one of tthe most likely places to find a few of his marines ... as well as a few of the Engineering department crew.
Chla'dny pointed with his long hand towards a turbo lift door: "Commander, this way please. Miss Summers is surely waiting for you"
Shane noded: "All right, lets move. Miss Summers isnt too good in waiting ..."
