The man spoke with a slight accent, although Kaitlin couldn't quite put her finger on it. It seemed to be a combination of various Earth-originating dialects. She couldn't help but wonder if it was all part of the snooty hotel atmosphere that the alien= s were trying to create. The room was easily the largest single room that Kaitlin had ever seen. A huge, oversized bed placed towards the back of the room only took up a smal= l fraction of the space allocated to her. The bed itself was beautifully decorated with several coordinating pillows in her favorite colors. The sides to the four post bed were covered in a sheer mesh that coordinated as well. To the other side of the room was a large pool or some type of tub. It was smaller than a regular lap pool, but bigger than most hot tubs that she had seen. "Shall I demonstrate?" the man spoke with eagerness in his voice, breaking the silence and nearly startling Kaitlin. Before even waiting for her reply, the man pushed a button on the wall whic= h started the Jacuzzi jets. "It is for swimming the laps," he spoke, turning a dial on the same control panel "or is for relaxing and amusing oneself." Almost instantaneously, the jets shifted, creating more bubbles as the steam quickly rose. Coloring the steam was a purple light, making it look like the steam and bubbles were that color. "Hope you enjoy," the man said agai= n with a huge grin on his face. "Thank you, sir," Kaitlin responded, still a bit surprised at the room. Sh= e couldn't quite determine whether she found it disturbing or comforting that they had read her mind and knew exactly what she wanted. Come to think of it, she didn't know exactly what she wanted herself, and had no idea they could figure out her favorite colors or know that she loved to relax in a nice hot tub. But at the same time, what else were they reading from her mind? Kaitlin tipped the concierge and soon she was all alone in the room. She was still taking in the grandeur of the room, having a difficult time deciding what she wanted to do first. Before she had arrived at the hotel, she figured that she'd only be spending a fraction of the time actually in her room. For that, she had brought a book to read. The majority of the time she had planned on checking out the hotel bars, casinos, restaurants and anything else they had to offer. After all, the point was to meet some of her crewmates, not to seclude herself. She walked over to the large bed and sat herself down heavily on it. Withi= n easy view of the bed was a large flat panel monitor. Leaning back, she pushed a button that activated the screen, appearing the same background that she had seen in the brochure back on the Chimera. Instead of running through the advertisement for the hotel, instead there was a listing of som= e of the activities that the hotel had to offer. Choosing the "casino" option, the screen filled with images from one of the casinos, and the option to just browse through all of the games, to learn how to play them (or lose your money playing them, rather), or to just see the live feed of who was playing in the casino at present. Browsing thru a few more of the hotel activities, she decided that it was time for a nap. It was still several hours before "night", and she was certain that a good dose of rest would do her some good, especially if she had planned on staying up and out all night. =/\= End Log =/\= ------=_Part_3038_29183604.1137303296134 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline =/\= Living Dream Hotel =/\=

"I hope this will suit your needs," the rather scrawny alien concierge spoke, putting down the bag inside her room.&nbs= p; The man spoke with a slight accent, although Kaitlin couldn't quite put her finger on it. It seemed to be a combination of various Earth-originating dialects. She couldn't help but wonder if it was all part of the snooty hotel atmosphere that the aliens were tryi= ng to create.
The room was easily the largest single room that Kai= tlin had ever seen. A huge, oversized bed placed towards the back of the room only took up a small fraction of the space allocated to her. The bed itself was beautifully decorated with several coordinating pillows in her favorite colors. The sides to the four post bed were covered in a sheer mesh that coordinated as well.&nbs= p; To the other side of the room was a large pool or some type of tub. It was smaller than a regular lap pool, but bigger than most hot tubs that she had seen.

"Shall I demonstrate?" the man spoke with eagerness in his voice, breaking the silence and nearly startling Kaitlin.

Before even waiting for her reply, the man pushed a button on the wall which started the Jacuzzi jets. "It is for swimming the laps," he spoke, turning a dial on the same control panel "or is for relaxing and amusing oneself."&nb= sp; Almost instantaneously, the jets shifted, creating more bubbles as the steam quickly rose. </s= pan>Coloring the steam was a purple light, making it look like the steam and bubbles were that color. "Hope you enjoy," the man said again with a huge grin on his face.

"Thank you, sir," Kaitlin responded, still a bit sur= prised at the room. She couldn't quite determine whether she found it disturbing or comforting that they had read her mind and knew exactly what she wanted. Come to think of it, she didn't know exactly what she wanted herself= , and had no idea they could figure out her favorite colors or know that she loved to relax in a nice hot tub. But at the same time, what else were they reading from her mind?

Kaitlin tipped the concierge and soon she was all al= one in the room. She was still taking in the grandeur of the room, having a difficult time deciding what she wanted to d= o first. Before she had arrived at the hotel, she figured that she'd only be spending a fraction of the time actua= lly in her room. For that, she had brought a book to read. The majority of the time she had planned on checking out the hotel bars, casinos, restaurants and anything else they had to offer. After all, the point was to meet some of her crewmates, not to seclude herself.</= p>
She walked over to the large bed and sat herself dow= n heavily on it. Within easy view of the bed was a large flat panel monitor. Leaning back, she pushed a button that activated the screen, appeari= ng the same background that she had seen in the brochure back on the Chimera.<= span style=""> Instead of running through the advertisement for the hotel, instead there was a listing of some of the activities that t= he hotel had to offer. Choosing the "casino" option, the screen filled with images from one of the casinos, and= the option to just browse through all of the games, to learn how to play them (= or lose your money playing them, rather), or to just see the live feed of who was playing in the casino at present.

Browsing thru a few more of the hotel activities, sh= e decided that it was time for a nap. It was still several hours before "night", and she was certain that a good dos= e of rest would do her some good, especially if she had planned on staying up an= d out all night.

=/\= End Log =/\=
------=_Part_3038_29183604.1137303296134--
