===== Living Dream Hotel - Holosuites ===== "So, are you ready?" asked Terek "Now or never Weranis..." "Are you sure? We don't have to do it and start with something more conventional...." "I said, DO IT!" shouted Alex which stood next to him in the holosuite both of them wearing air sport clothes and protective goggless. "Ok, OK, don't be so jumpy....I was merely pinpointing....." "If you won't shut up and activate the program, I'll pinpoint you! But to the wall with uhge nails!" said in nervous tone Alex attempting it to sound like dry humour. Young Bajoran just shrugged, charmed a innocent smile and said: "Computer activate the sequence" [Sequence activated. Please get ready.] [Program starting in 3..] they both stood in firm poses waiting for what was about to come. [..2..] they lowered themselves in kneels... [..1..] "I think I must be crazy doing this with youuuuuuuuuu......" tried Alex to shout but in that time blackness of the empty holosuite changed and they realized that they don't have solid ground under their feet, but just emptiness wrapped in clouds and enlighted by two glowing suns. Alex was screaming as they were both faling down in enormous speed, air swooshing around them. But Terek was hardly noticing her shouts of type "Weranis, I'll kill you.... You hear me?! I'll kill YOU! You said You'll choose something simple!! I swear that as soon as we'll land I'll kill YOU!!" None of this bothered Terek as he knew that Alex was just blowing out frustration, fear, adrenalin. She'll fell great on the ground... everybody does. He smiled for himself and shouted to Alex that was getting further from him: "OK, you can kill me if you can catch me!" and with this he stretched out his arms and legs, uncovering floating membranes between them and with a big WHOMP he remained up above Alex, slowing a bit his fall and flying. Alex did the same as soon as she regained sensible mind again and tried to chase Terek. Firstly she was terrified. The shock of her falling down was a bit too much to consume at once, but after a few moments she got into it. Refreshed by cold air streaming around she looked around and saw Terek doing some arcobatic craziness about 200 meters away. She chaught an ascending stream of wind and got above him, then folded her hands and legs together, gaining on speed and like a bullet she hit Terek, holding him tight in surprise: "Now I've got you" she said smiling broadly" "Yes you do, but look, we're getting lower, I think that we shoud get parachutes out." she nodded, let him go and they both in the same moment pressed buttons on the sling of their bags. After a few moments they both hung down below the coloured wings, slowly taking them down. It took about two minutes to safely land on a grassy plain. "That was absolutely amazing....." said Alex breathless and Terek remained silent, just smiling smartly, thinking {Just as I thought...} "Computer end program" with this command the sunny plain changed back into the holosuite and they both packed their parachutes and walked outside into the royalishly furnished corridor with viewports on one wall, revealing sight into space. ==/\== Rangi sat on a soft apricot coloured chair, nursing a mug of chocolate that had long since grown cold.She stared out at the openness in front of her but registered none of it, seeing instead in her minds eye the series of puzzling events. {I'm certain that Okrin wont find any evidence in the medical logs} she thought { but i cant prove anything to Shane until I have a padd in my hand saying as much..and whee IS okrin?..he left ages ago.} A womans laughter and the wrods "Terek Weranis...just you wait!" caused Rangi too wake from her deep daydream, recognisingthe science officers as they walked nearer to her position. Alex gave a small smile and nudged Terek sharpley in his ribs as they came closer. "Hello" Rangi said politely. "Been having fun?" her eyes fell to the luggage they carried. as she asked the question. Walking along the corridor, Alex swore a great revenge to Terek... of course she was saying that in light tone, smiling, but Terek knew, that she means it and made himself a note to be careful these days. They turned one bend and and Alex gave him poke in his ribs so he bent down and played that it hurt "Auch... you killed me...." he laughed, teasing Alex. But then he realized what was poke for. XO was sitting on the chair next to them "Ah, hello madam. Yes, just some paragliding experience." "You look troubled, what happened?" asked Terek "Join me?" she asked and before the pair had settled themselves in opposite chairs, one of the hotel staff appeared beside them bowing and asking "May I bring refreshment for you all? A rih chocolate for you Commander or is there something else you would like?Was this not to your liking?" Rangi handed him the cup that was still more than half full "Its lovely " she said. "...but i was thinking of something and forgot about it" She smiled to him, he bowed and removed the cup from her hands. "For toy Sir?" he asked turning to terek "What may i bring for you and your companion?" "Alex, what would you like?" asked Terek and after moment of thinking she ordered hot Sangria. Then the gray alien turned on him. "Get me a strong Rize tea, without milk and sugar." Alien paced away, but before tehy could start talking he was back with order. "Here it is, may it please you." He bowed and disappeared. "So what happened?" asked Alex now Rangi accepted her drink too but didnt taste it."I'm not sure" she replied. "Somehow, although its a wonderful place..it all seems TOO wonderful...and something isnt right i'm sure of it though i dont know what" warming his hands from a mug of tea Terek looked over the steam to Rangi. "Now when you mention it... indeed, everyone looks somehow too happy....." "Yes...perhaps thats it.} she thought. Looking directly at terek she said,"Something strange happened last night and I'm not sure what to think" and she explained about the message that her father had sent, how it had been intercepted and given to her directly and how it seemed too good to be true. "Hmm... I don't want to be pesimistic, but I wouldn't so easily trust to those 'grayhounds' here. Are you certain it was not fake... I.. I mean, it would be wonderful of course, but it is easy to trust a good news...." said Terek in weak smile. "Have you contacted Chimera if they intercepted that message as well?" Rangi shook her head. "I challenged Z aba about it but then...well...Commander Guzman thought there was nothig wrong." she thought back to Shanes angry expression and 'order' that all the crew should trust our hosts. "I'm on my way to the infirmary to see how ltstephens is."she said stillunhappy at Shanes statement and dismissal of her concerns. It came strange for commander to act like that, but afterall he didn't know him that well yet. "Should I go with you?" asked looking on Alex changing worried expressions. "No..no itsok. I'm sure the lieutenant is fine. But there is one thing you could do...please tell me if you find anything 'odd' happening.I dont know what..just anything surprising." Terek nodded in undestanding. "We'll keep our eyes sharp madam, don't worry." replied Terek and they all stood up. Rangi thanked them and wished them a happy day. {shane and i shouldbe sharing the day too} she thought and with a froen and sigh moved off towards the infirmary. ====== End of log ====== Cmdr.
