Not even the least bit tired (especially after the nap she had taken), she moved from bar to dance club to casino. Not spending too much of her time in one place, she felt as though for the first time in ages she was really having fun, mingling and meeting people. At most of the places that she had ventured to, the people she had met she had done so on a very superficial level. Exchanging names, talking about where they were from, what they did for their jobs and that type of thing. There was the variet= y of people that she had encountered too. A couple Starfleet officers and enlisted crew here and there, drinking and losing their money at table game= s that they didn't understand the rules to. A few rowdy Klingon's that tende= d to populate the darker and mustier bars. Quiet groups of Vulcan's that didn't talk much while they engaged in games of 3D chess. While it was fun to meet people from diverse backgrounds and different home planets, Kaitlin had hoped to use this time to make a few friends that she could keep with her when she got back to the ship. But as the "night" wore on it was getting harder and harder to differentiate her fellow Chimera crew members from the other people populating the common areas at the hotel. After a conversation with a Benzite in one of the hotel's dance club's ende= d rather abruptly, Kaitlin took that as her cue to wander next door to anothe= r bar. Upon first glance at the bar's entrance, she started to vaguely recognize some of the faces of the people there. She could have sworn that there were a couple of people she had seen in the corridors or at the gym o= n the Chimera, but she was far from certain of anything. A man dressed in a blue civilian shirt sat near the entrance, drinking something that had a color that coordinated perfectly with his attire. Weaving in and out of th= e people passing by, Kaitlin neared the door. But that was about as far as she got. Someone broke the low murmur coming from the bar. "NO NO... NO YOUR DEAD," the man shouted, as several people came rushing to his aid, or perhaps to restrain him, others still sat enjoying their drink, nearly oblivious to what was going on. With everyone crowding around him, Kaitlin could hardly see what was going on. Dismissin= g it as nothing more than a really drunk patron, Kaitlin steered herself away from that bar, and instead went to one of the casinos across from where she was standing. =/\= Back in her room, several hours later =/\= Only slightly tired from being on her feet for so long, but far from exhausted, Kaitlin retired to her room, figuring that she had had enough excitement for one evening. Besides that, she was eager to partake in one of the wonderful amenities that she could enjoy in the comfort of her own room, like the gigantic hot tub that graced the center of the room. Upon entering, Kaitlin disappeared into the large bathroom for a shower. Like everything in the hotel, it was extremely generously sized, with a large soaking tub and enormous shower separate from the tub. Glass walls surrounded the shower, several water jets lined the back and around the top of the shower. A panel to the side allowed the user to control water temperature and which water jets were to spray. Kaitlin tapped the panel a few times, selecting the program she desired, an= d almost instantaneously, the jets began to spray in streams of hot water tha= t began to steam the sides of the shower. Removing the hair tie from her blonde hair, she proceeded to remove all of her clothes, setting them neatl= y on the bench in the bathroom, out of the way. Stepping naked into the shower, and only pausing to close the door behind her, she immediately decided that she must be in heaven in space. The jets pulsated gently, massaging her skin. A light scent of apples started to fill the steamy shower. Kaitlin inhaled deeply, and closed her eyes, relaxing and enjoying her shower experience. Gone from her mind was any thought of returning to her duties on the Chimera. The water jets continued to spray, as Kaitlin only turned herself slightly to let the front of her body feel the gentle pressure from the water. It seemed like an eternity that Kaitlin stood in the shower, letting the water run over her. Soon, she thought to herself, it would be time to get out, a= s her fingers were pruning up quite nicely by now. Kaitlin was feeling so relaxed that she didn't even flinch at first when sh= e felt the two warm objects touch her hips. One second, she thought it was another feature of the shower. The next, she questioned how the warm touch could feel so much like a human hand. And finally, opening her eyes to loo= k down, she realized that unless the shower had sprouted hands, that there wa= s someone in the shower with her! She let out a quick and ear piercing scream. With all of the steam in the shower clouding her vision, she couldn't recognize who the person was. Wha= t she could tell was that it appeared to be a male, taller than her with either brown or sandy blonde hair that had gotten wet from standing in the shower. And, like herself, the man was completely naked. Quickly opening the door to the shower, Kaitlin dripped water across the floor to the panel to turn off the water jets. She tried to keep a clear head about things, but she couldn't stop thinking to herself that it wasn't often, and in fact never, that a naked man appeared in her shower. The fogged up glass shower walls cleared quickly as the steam was sucked from the room by the vents. Kaitlin fumbled for one of the towels on the rack, quickly wrapping it around herself. The man looked familiar to her, but she had met a lot of people that evening, so she couldn't quite remember whether it was someone she had seen earlier, or one of her crewmates. "Who are you?" she asked, trying to appear as though she wasn't as nearly as out of breath as she was from being startled. "And how did you get in here?" she demanded. =/\= End Log =/\= <<OOC: only slightly a back log, but it's up for debate as to who the man in Kaitlin's room is...>> ------=_Part_929_11611353.1138499975530 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline
=/\= Somewhere in the Hotel =/\=

It was now hour four of Kaitlin's hotel experience away from her room that evening. Not even the least bit tired (especially after the nap she had taken), she moved from ba= r to dance club to casino. Not spending too much of her time in one place, she felt as though for the first time in age= s she was really having fun, mingling and meeting people. = At most of the places that she had ventured to, the people she had met she had done so on a very superficial level.<spa= n> Exchanging names, talking about where they were from, what they did for their jobs and that type of thing. </sp= an> There was the variety of people that she had encountered too. = A couple Starfleet officers and enlisted crew here and there, drinking and losing their money at table games that they di= dn't understand the rules to. A few rowdy Klingon's that tended to populate the darker and mustier bars. Quiet groups of Vulcan's that didn't talk much while they engaged in games of 3D chess. While it was fun to meet people from diverse backgrounds and differe= nt home planets, Kaitlin had hoped to use this time to make a few friends that= she could keep with her when she got back to the ship. But a= s the "night" wore on it was getting harder and harder to differentiate her fellow Chimera crew members from the= other people populating the common areas at the hotel.

After a conversation with a Benzite in one of the hotel's dance club's ended rather abruptly, Kaitlin took that as her cue to wander next door to another bar. Upon first glance at the bar's entrance, she started to vaguely recognize some of the faces o= f the people there. She could have sworn that there were a couple of people she had seen in the corridors or at the gym on the Chimera, but she was far from certain of anything. </spa= n>A man dressed in a blue civilian shirt sat near the entrance, drinking something that had a color that coordinated perfectly with his attire. Weaving in and out of the people passing by, Kaitlin neared the door.

But that was about as far as she got. Someone broke t= he low murmur coming from the bar.
