-= Nejor's Office =-
The door chime rang, yet again. The XO had just departed that it rang
again,
where they all waiting for their turn to walk in, lining up by the door?
Okrin
sighed. He was still leaning on the wall of his office. "Enter." He said at
last.
The door opened and closed quickly, the marine that stepped in was
imposing
for a human. Okrin did not recognize him at first and neither did the older
marine. They just both stared at each other dumbfounded for a few seconds.
It
could not be, not him? by the prophets... "You?" the both said in unison,
bewildered. They blinked a few times, before smiles appeared on their faces.
He started first. "Okrin, you little... Sir." He said, choosing the rank
rather than insult. "How did you?" He said pointing to all this office and
his
rank. Okrin stood straight and shaked hands with his old Platoon Sgt from
the
51st Hawke.
"SFMC knew you where coming this way, so they took me, gave me a
promotion
to make your life miserable, you know that." He said jokingly. "What brings
you
here, Sarge?" Okrin asked him, using his old nickname, from the 51st. "A
position opened up, so I applied. I did the training and well, I'm here."
Okrin
nodded. "What news do you bring from the hawke?"
Bennett moved to a chair and sat down heavily. "Not good I'm afraid."
Okrin
joined him, half sitting on his desk. "The unit's ben disbanded, men
reassigned, commanding officers retiring or disappearing to other
assignments."
Bennett was far away as he told the news, but came back to this office in a
flash. "How about you, Okrin, what happened to you?" Bennett asked smilling.
Okrin told him of his latest adventures with juicy details, like two old
military brothers meeting after years of separations. They then got to the
parper work. Bennett was his ODA's team Sgt, in charge of the operations and
supply of the team, which was he did best, and keeping people in line was is
favorite pass time.
The Chief of Security did not waste time and he gave his new sgt the
tasks
ahead, all regarding the supplies. He was to take acre of it for the whole
department. He then gave him a roster of the ODA-Alpha and the request to
report
back the following day at 0800 for the meeting.
For a few more hours the shot the shit together, bitching respectively
and
to no excess, sharing more stories, in other words getting to know each
other
again. Once it was over, Okrin saw the time was quite late and he still
needed
to unpack some of his stuff. They both left the office behind, as they
respectively made their way to their quarters.
