The club on board the CHimera was the NCO club, an unofficial establishmant for NCO personnel only. No officer was admitted here, unless specifically invited by some NCO. It was just a place for the personell where they could be sure, no officer will listen to. It was like a home combined with an old eart pub. Pucker was tired and in a quite mood. He looked for some old friend of his ... spotting one he stood from teh table and moved towards her. Sally sat back in her chair and eased her shoes off her aching feet.{{oh thats better}} She yawned and looked up to see a fellow medic approaching the table."How you doing?" she asked. Pucker smiled at Sally and said: "Hello dolly, could be better, thanks for asking. Da boss is just running crazy like always ... you?" he asked and say himself down. A waiter approached and asked for their orders. "Two beers" Pucker orderd, "on my account" he added. "Ohh tell me about it!" she said "...and guess who came down AGAIN this morning?" Pucker grinned and said: "You remember the Bio geel pack things? The one that cooked itself? The one we got replaced?" He noded: "Aye, and now we have to keep them sound and safe what ever cost. We have to control them every three hours. Crazy i say ... that are just geel pack, nothing more. I dont understand the 'hallo' about it ..." As the beer arrived he offered the 2nd mug to Sally and said: "To you dolly, the nices all around" She raised her glass."To the gel!" she said with a grin."Geez am i tired?." she took a long drink and smacked her lips "Oh I needed that." He behave like he would be something better. He almost screamed at me when i was near and he wanted to leave the sickbay few days ago." He chuckled at Sally: "But isnt that Betazoid councelor interested in him ... have seen her with him few times ..." "Have you?" Sally looked surprised."Well..I would have said he was more interested in our dear CMO.He asked me where she was everytime i went passed." she grinned across at him "Do you think the XO knows?..now that would be interesting wouldnt it?" He smiled and took a large sip from the mug. "Well, if some guy would chase MY girl ... i would teach him a lesson very soon. Only a weakling does nothing. Eighter he knows not or is to afraid to do something. You know, officers are often afraid of marines ..." he shook his head in disbelief. "Big words and little deeds. aye! Wanna dance Sally?" he asked. The big officers are interest in another big officers, like the CMO." He took another sip, "And well, I am at last a bit better looking, am i not?" She grinned at him and pretended to consider something."Well..if you wore his uniform I suppose I wouldnt notice the difference...you could even pass for a captain!" Its i dont see hardly one. The Captain comes only rarely our his shell in the ready room or the bridge and teh marines are eighter training all the day or afraid to some out the security area." I wouldnt make my head heavy about marines ... He chucked: "That leaves only us, meager boys for you girls. There will be a party at Joe's ... wanna come?" he asked. "Will it be like the last?" she asked "They had to get security for that didnt they?...we dont want that Richards turning up at the door!" He sighed: "Aye, the last time it was a bit loud and crazy ... but this time some guys from science deactivated teh internal sensors in the area .. I dont know how, they just reassured us that no security guy will appear there ..." He looked at Sally: "Well, they dont seemed to be quite happy about the new chief, the warrant officer that came two days ago ..." "YEs i heard they had a new one..whats he like then? I suppose he'll be down here for a medical too...you know she checked the entire crew?...only wanted it all done in two days! I ask you...what does she think we are?" Pucker noded: "You say it my dear. They are all the same, they think only about time shedules, ranks, recommendations and positions. And we have to work for that like crazy ... . Its the same as the XO's demeanded taht the sickbay will be ready for the departure in 3 days ... fool! And da boss assigned us bouble duties ... and there goes our off time on the holodeck ... . I heard its the same in tactical, the vulcan Lt in charge there is the same as our boss." She nodded at the wisdom of his words."They say she doesnt hardly bothers to sleep .... and expects everyone else to follow suit." she shook her head."You know what else i heard?" she leaned forward"..about the XO I mean...they say he was a medic...moved on to tactical and now plays at being XO...what sort of mixture is that i ask you? Marines playing security..a captain who thinks hes an engineer..whats it all coming to?" "Really?" he wondered. "Well, its coming to no good end i would bet. Remeber the explosion in the armoury? If the XO would be at last a medic he would treat the guys by himself, instead of being treated like a kid by our highness. If he was the same in tactical like he is here the Xo, so god protect the ship ... .But i heard that our higness was quite afraid in the Drakanus mission when it came to combat ... If you ask me, its just a matter of time, till there will be a major problem between us and the marines, you can trust me. And, second ... its weird to have a MARINE as the CO ... mostly fleeters are CO ... and i think our lovely XO will make soon his move towards the CO seat ... and our higness whould sure not want to pass that ..." "Hmmmm...I'm not sure thats right...Mind you...you could have a point....." she stared hard at the table as though working through a complicated and long evolved plan. "She could save herself alot of trouble then" she declared. "You say the capt was involved on the starbase..perhaps shes fooling then all and it s HIM shes after.Do you think thats why he stays locked away in his ready room? One that doesnt looks for rank, but for the man behind the pips. Lets to Sally, ill invite you for a dinner." he said and stood up.
