===== Main Ops, Starbase Kinsi ===== Ensign Skywalker leaned back in his confortable seat and tried his best not to yawn. Acording earth standart time it was early morning and his shift was about to end in an hour. Again ... as usual on this little back in this forgotten corner of federation space ... it was a boresome shift. Nothing unexpected or thrilling happened. Three ship's left the base and two docked today and two were taking orbot of the station. Among the last was the Chimera which arrival was the only one slightest exception from the daily routine. The Chimera was an SSF ship and those were not often seen in an uninteresting region of space like here. Skywalker's Captain had a short speech with the Chimera's colonel and both officers agreed on the leave rooster for the Chimera. Afterall ... a good third of the Chimera's crew were marines ... SSF trained ones ... and those were quite known for bar fights while on R&R. Well ... the Chimera could easily be a disguised inspection from SF Command and therefore the Captain issued orders to assure that everything will be running smoothly. Double shifts and double patrols till the 'dammed SSF spy' ship leaves ... Then there were the two bothering Chimera's officers. The XO and 2XO. Sure, they pretended to be involved with each other ... but who knows. They might be very well doing some dirty spy work on the station. True or false, the XO ... some Commander asked for a temporary quarters on teh base. Instructed by his CO ... Skywalker assigned them a guest VIP quarters on deck 7. But the Commander was a stubborn guest ... about an hour aho he asked Skywalker for a Shuttle! If he and the Lieutenant Commader with him were not SSF officers, Skywalker would deny the request ... afterall theu were no shuttle borrowing service. But the Captain told him to do everything possible for those guests ... Skywalker assigned the couple a runabout. They left the base 45 minutes ago and ( he had a scan lock on that shuttle) now were hovering some 5000 meters away from teh station. {I wonder what devilry are they doing there} he thought. Then there was the Betazoid woman ... listed as counselor on the Chimera. According security's report ... she was playing a tag {??} game with some kids on the promenade deck. Skywalker wondered if she was secretly testing the promenade guards ... Suddenly a bright red point appeared on his Ops console ... proximity alert. {What the ... ?} he thought and he tried to find out what caused teh alarm. {Ah} he sighed. The Chimera. {Of course ... they are testing us!} The Chimera was about to leave the station through one of the port doors but they were flying with a bad course ... a few more seconds like this and docking door 3 will be a past ... the same like the Chimera. Acting like a textbook officer he immediately contacted the Chimera asking if they had any troubles and if they arent maybe in a need of help. After a moment came the reply that they are all right ... and the Chimera corrected her course ... Skywalker shook his head: "Such transparent action ... Do they think we are here dummies?
