"Elite Force" by Rangi, Storok and Mumacik =/\= Storoks Quarters =/\= Storok finished reading her PADD and set it down on the "to be wiped" pile. She stood up and caught eye of her phaser and belt in the security lock. She walked towards it and unlocked the device and removed the phaser. She then left her quarters heading for the Holodeck. Shane watched the incomming message. A bit surprised about a message at this time, he tapped the console to read it. It was from Lt. Storok, the CTAC. 'Flying' over the message Shane learned that Storok invited him to a war game on holodeck ... in 5 minutes. {Geez ... Vulcan timing} he thought and fastly stood from his chair. He speeded out his quarters and headed down to the Holodeck two. The door of the turbo lift opened and shane stepped in as rangi moved to step out. "Sweetheart!..I was just on my way to see you...something wrong?" she added wondering what the emergency was. Storok walked along the corridor and came to a stop outside holodeck 2. She walked up to the control panel and tapped a couple of buttons. "Program Complete. Enter When ready" Announced the Computer. She Entered and 9 Fictional guns appeared infront of her. "Computer Map level Klingon14". Shane smiled at Rangi and kissed her gently. "Hmm ... Storok invited me for a war game on the holodeck. In 5 minutes of course" He grinned at the Vulcan timesense. "What do you say my love, would you be interested to join us? You know, it could only help ... and from what i've heard you are quite good in shooting. COuld be interesting to see the prove ..." he said teasing her. She pretended to give him a measured look "You want proof?" she asked and grinned at him "Ok..it sounds like fun.." two minutes later they exited the lift together hand in hand. "Sure you're ready for this?" she teased as they approached the holodeck Shane grinned back. "Of course my love, i am. I am ALWAYS interested to see you in action ..." he said smiling. "But you know, Storok is just inside ... I cant be too much an gentleman ..." He turned back to teh entrance and the couple entered the holodeck. Noticing Storok waiting there Shane said: "Ahh ... my dear Lt. Storok. Many thanks for the invitation ... but PLEASE next time give me st last an half hour ..." he said chuckling. Storok nodded to Shane and gestured to the weapons infront of her. "Would you like to play co-operative or 'free-for-all' first?" Shane thought a second. "I would prefer Free-for-all for the start. I hope you wont mind Lt. Summers joinin us ..." he replied. He came to the wepons and choosed a type III standart phaser rifle. He preferred type II hand phaser, but considering teh current location ... he took better the III type. Rangi took a phaser and examined it. "What are the rules of this game?" she asked Storok. "Quite simple Actually. You are either on a team fighting against Computer simulated bots or on a free for all where you shoot anyone you see." She looked at Rangi holding the Phaser. "i would recommend though that you have the Phaser AND one more weapon." Shane noded to Storok. "Looks to be a good advice Rangi. A simple handphaser would me most probably a great disadvantage on your side" He noded as Rangi went to teh wepons rack and choosed another one. He turned to Storok: "Ready LT?" Storok nodded and turned away from both Rangi and Shane. She then stopped and turned back. "One more thing Miss Summers. When you are hit, or when you hit another person, you are transported to another location on the map. And of course, your points go down." She then turned away again and started walking up a ramp. "Computer begin 30 second warmup Match. 10 Simulated Computer bots, Medium Difficulty. Enable" Rangi selected a type IIIb and smiled at Shane."Have you played this before/" she asked in a low voice. Shane smiled and quietly replied: "AYe, sure ..." and after a second he added: "back on the academy ..." As the holodeck match enabled itself ... all three were transported to a random location and Shane's words : "Come on Rangi ... will be fun" didnt reached her ... only revealed his position to the neares Klingon warrior who stood some 10 meters away from him. He laughed and started to fire. {Geeez...} thought SHane as he quickly run to cover. Storok rolled out of view just as another klingon wartrior jumped past her. She came rolling up and fired wih her Compression rifle. the klingon yelled and fell limp and hit the floor. A few seconds later he was eveloped in a transporter beam. Rangi krept steadily along beside a wall until rounding a corner, found her first Klingon."Yesss" she grinned as he fell to the floor midway to aiming at her as she fired her phaser. Shane was not great fighter in hand to hand or phaser comabt. As ex-Tac officer he was used to sit nice in the Bridge or Ops and aim torpedoes on ships ... and no way to run like a fool around, covering himself behind structured and terrain and shoot at everythink that moved. But that was what he did at the moment ... {Crazy!} he thought. Two more met the same end very quickly. {{This is great!!}} rangi thought but next moment found herself in a new situation and stared around disorientated. Storok Looked down at her weapon where the energy bar was now red. She dropped it and pulled out the fictional (unfortunatly) Photon burst. She ran forward and spotted a few kligons gouped together charging their ammo. She fireand braced as the gun gave an almighty jolt and a mini-torpedoe sped across the large arena into two klingons. Shane had to quickly run away. Now were two Klingon warriors on his tail and his occasional fire had littel to none effect. Ducked he ran across open space and finally reached the big corner of the L shaped arena. {Finally!} he thought {Now i can pay them back} he thought as he turned back and wanted to wait for the Klingons. Some unusual sound catched his attention. He spotted two Klingons running in his direction from teh oposite way and the unmistakable light of an mini toprdo heading his way as well .... {Holy socks!} rangi frowned at the sounds of battle and made her way towards it but more carefully now.Coming to a corner she peered round and ducked back.{{Four?}} she thought and retreated the way she had come. left, Right, Left right, infront,behind,left. Storok was firing in every direction trying to keep the klingons at bay. She was about to fire when her gun went click. She looked down and realised that it was out of ammo. She brought out the last standard weapon, which luckily one could not run out of ammo with. She dove behind a cargo container and slid across the floor as the klingon turned around and let of a couple of shots. {{Geez!!}} she thought dropping to her knees and crawling as fast as she could through a small dark tunnel {{...if i'd...Oh no you dont!!}} and she lay flat aimed and blasted two 'enemy' with the greatest satisfaction.She grinned and crawled out of the tunnel and scuttled along beside a low wall. Shane had actually to jump behid a lagre pylon like a tiger ... ok, ok ... like a tired cat ... but anyway he was safe for the moment. Deeply sighing he watched the torpedo to fly away and explode in the middle of an unhappy klingon. The second was throwed agains the wall and with a good aim, Shane finished him. {At last a point!} he thought. Rangi ran for her life with phaser fire skimming over her shoulder and missing her by inches.She slithered behind a row of containers and turned to aim.""Shane" she breathed as she saw him in the distance.A tall klingon appeared and surveyed the room. Storok walked out from her cover with her phaser looking for some ammo when the computer announced " 1 minute remaining". Happy about his first point Shane crawled from nehid teh pylon. Suddenly he heard a cry from Rangi. He saw he running like a rabbit with phaser fire around her. The top of all was a tall klingon just ahead of her ... grinning like the ancient god Loki and aiming her. With a loud yell SHane jumped to his feets and charged. Rifle set to rapid fire, Shane hold the fire button pressed continuosly. The Tall Klingon dissapeard into the transport effect as he was hitted at last 10 times. Too late she saw the Klingon evaporate but had aimed and fired at that instant."Shane!!" she cried and saw the blue fire miss him by a hairs breadth."Sorry!" she mouthed at him and grinned "End of Match. Ranks: Lt Guzman 8, Lt Summers 3, Lt Storok 15." Announced the computer. Storok almost grinned.. as the walls of the arena were replaced by the holodeck grid. Shane run for few more moments and fired the now not existant rifle. Surprised that the match was over he stopped. Scant of breath he said: "Huh ...quite a match ... I am totall out of form" He came to Storok and shook her hand: "Congratulations Lt." Coming to Rangi he smiled and said: "Very well done Rangi ... you surprised me" Rangi stopped with relief and walked across to Storok. "Well done Lt" she smiled "..You have played this game before!"
