=/\= Deck 3 =/\= Acheson looked for more portals. It was not clear if these creatures wouldever return, and he wanted to be ready.Nathan noticed a woman in an ODA uniform approaching him. The uniform was especially crisp and new and the woman was very young.He looked at her. "I'm sorry, but I don't recognize you. Who are you, private?" He looked at her very puzzled. "Me? Vandetta Rose, Sir." She stammered. She took a deep breath not knowing what was going to happen next. "Oh, I see. Welcome to the Chimera!" Acheson presented his hand to offer a handshake in a confident, yet professional manner. She looked at his hand for a moment not knowing what to think. She then placed her hand in front of her and shook his hand. "What sort of communications do you specialize in?" "Various ones. I'm a linguist, but I can do just about anything when I set my mind to it." She replied quite proud of her accomplishments. "I hope you don't mind my asking, but who are you?" Acheson laughed and shook his head in a sense of disbelief. "I'm sorry, I never introduced myself. I'm Lieutenant Nathan Acheson, the ODA Commander. Have you been briefed on the portals and the creatures we encountered? "The XO said something about aliens as well as telling me to report into you as soon as possible." Detta replied ready for anything he threw at her. " I'm ready to start working, sir, as soon as you give me something to do." Acheson nodded. "Private, for now I have a single order. I want you to attempt to find a way to communicate with the entities we've encountered. I don't know how it will be done and I don't even know if it can be done. But if it can, we must find out what they want so that we can possibly end their hostile actions against us." Pvt Rose and 2Lt Acheson
