Hello everyone! Another week down and more and more people are able to log. Good job everyone. I know things are a bit separated at the moment, with several groups in several different places. But I ask that you bear with us. With the latest developments ( the engineering cavalry on its way to the station) we should all soon be together. And with that the many elements of the plot should start to come together quickly. So keep reading and keep writing, who knows how this will end. Ok a good week behind us, lets make the next one just as good. Remember quality logs are more important than the quantity of logs you post. Indy ===== XO's Comment ===== Hi my dear simmers, We have an another warm and sunny week behind us and even if i guess we all would like to spend our time on holidays somewhere, we were still able to make the log count be stable. Sure, its not the thirty logs a week like we used to have last year, but the log count is not all what counts. I repeat myself, but quiality is the same if not more important then quantity. This week we saw quite some plot development and even on both 'fronts' ... on the ship and on the same as well. Especially our engineering duo Nick and Mike rocked this week. A way to go! We had some academy exam sucesses ... congratulations to whom it applies and for all other ... its a way to go! Away team number 2 fly to the station. ======================================================================= Mission Summary --Station- up in the infirmary, Hathaway treats the marine she shot. They are soon interrupted when the research stations chief medical officer arrives in the infirmary. She pulls the doctor in to the CMO office and debriefs him on his time on the base. They are soon intrupted by a couple of aliens. Elsewhere, The colonel and his companion head back to the infirmary to gather up Hathaway and the people they have already collcted. He runs in to Rangi, Mercedes and Peter Heher( Npc). At first Keylor is surprised at Rangis appearance. Shequickly tells him how she thinks she arrived. Keylro then brief Rangi and Mercedes on the current situation, including the shuttle and the relitativly unpopulated deck 9. He instructs the corporal to take Rangi back to he infirmary to gather the rest of the people and bring them down to the shuttle bay while he and Mercedes take Peter down to the shuttle. --Ship- Earlier in the senior officer meeting that Shane called, Oriana reports on the latest developments. She reports that there are two kinds of conduits being produced, natural and artificial but has not explanation about how the artificial ones are being created with out the researchers help. On the bridge , Shane thinks of the recent events. While thinking, he hears that two more crew have been killed by aliens. Fed up with the apparent free reign of the aliens, Shane locks down the ship, restricting all crew not on duty to their quarters and having all non essential systems powered down. Athena, upset at the loss of Lt Rob Richards (npc), bumps in to Wes Summers who is disturbed by the disappearance of his daughter. Wes notices Athena not in a good mood and offers to call a doctor for her. She displays displeasure and declines the offer. The two talk and she explains about Rob Richards's death. Wes, not saddened by the news continues talking and tries his best to console Athena. The new ODA marine, Pvt Vandetta Rose, bumps in to t Acheson. He inquires who she is and introduces herself. She then asks him who he is and he tells her He is the oda co. Vandetta indicates she is a lingust and is eager to get to work. Nathan orders her to start working on a way to find out how to communicate to the aliens, though he gives not help as in how. Down by main engineering, Tcn Zachary Morgan and Cpl. Josh Johnson (npc) work on removing the alien device form he wall. In a chance eavesdropping of tow engineers, they get an idea on how to force the device to phase in to their space completely. They are successful. Johnson suggests that Zachary take what they had learned up to the sickbay in hopes it will help them cure the injured crew. Later, Cpl. Johnson goes to the mess hall to get some food. He orders up a delightfully messy plate only to bump in to and spill it on PVT Vandetta Rose. He apologies and she graciously accepts. The two start talking and Cpl Johnson finds out that Rose is new to the crew and is getting lost about the ship. He then offers to show her around, and she accepts. After a few awkward moments form Josh Johnson, He picks up on her interest in him. He asks if she would like to see a movie in his quarters and she accepts. Down in the shuttle bay, Nick Quayle prepares a shuttle for an away mission the XO is mounting to the station to find and rescue the missing crew. Impatient, he commandeers a shuttle manned by a pilot. Not happy with the pilots slow moves, he beams him off of the shuttle. Nick the yells at Mike Blackburn to grab an engineering kit and get on board. At first mike thinks nick was joking, but soon learns he was not. Mike mumbled something about never getting any notice and then headed for the shuttlebay. Presumably he could replicate some things or they wouldn't be away for very long, though knowing Nick, they would be there for ages. If you think your log may be going out of bounds, then please ask!
