He walked over to the helm console and called out. "Cancel combat red alert. Reset phasers and torpedos to actual settings." He reached down to his own holster and drew his phaser. With a few modifications, it was reset to return to being an effective weapon. +TAPS+ Bridge to all decks, combat maneuvers have been completed. Reset all systems to previous configurations. Acheson smiled. The combat maneuvers had been successful. He'd learned countless new ways to defend the ship and he looked forward to showing the Captain the benefit of his education next time the ship was attacked. He relieved the helmsman and sat at the console. "Setting course for the Starbase." Just as the ship had arrived, it turned about 360 degrees and headed home. The Simpson followed a short space behind. Acheson set a course and engaged, at warp speed. The ship flew forward, with a blue flash as it went to warp for about 30 seconds. Upon dropping from warp, he checked his sensors and set a course to the Starbase, taking into account its orbit around the planet. He arrived shortly thereafter. "Contact the Colonel. Find out if he wants us to dock."
