Well..} pondering the question he smirked to himself for he could think of many answers to that question. "Oh, you find this funny do you?", she demanded him to answer her as she was not in the mood for this delay in the current situation of her dog being brought to her. " Well for one ma'am, your dog was running around the base and as an officer I would like an explanation," he replied smiling up at her. {Man, she's even more beautiful when she's angry} the security officer thought to himself as he still remained smiling down at her. To be honest she wasn't sure how he did or why, but this officer was not only making her uncomfortable, but seemed gave her a different reason to be mad. The discomfort to some of this was based on how he would stoop down and smile at Mai for she was short; standing at five feet and three inches. " To be frank with you sir, I'm not sure how Kaine got out of my quarters", continuing on so to make sure the officer wouldn't interrupt; "I'm really not sure, but I can make sure of this that the following situation won't happen again including seeing you at my door". To this the young Security officer's smile turned upside down being very confused of her last answer. Mai was not in the mood, but hoping he would go away faster, she gave a polite smile. "I guess I'll put this as a warning for your loose animal and .. I'll be on my way?", he asked quizzically not wanting to end this meeting. "I believe that's for the best if you don't mind me saying," Mai replied and before he could answer she pressed a button on her wall that would close the door in front of her. "Geez..", she sighed as she slid down the side of her wall and sat on the floor with her legs crossed in back. Mai began to pet her dog and to him she said, "Kaine, what the hell were you thinking?", she wanted to know why her dog was acting like this and what she could do to help. "I just don't get it with you.. I have so much going on and then you decide to go running about.. I know I promised you sometime to where we could just..," she stopped mid-sentence as she peered eye-to-eye at her dog and how distracted and upset he had looked. Continuing to pet her dog only this time on his back for he was sitting down," How about we do something tomorrow, ok?" she asked looking at him more intensely. Mai wasn't trying to make him feel bad or take anything out on him, but with her step brother and now this ... she just sort of lost some self control that she had. He barked and she got up from the floor and proceeded to go take a nice relaxing shower. Once she released some stress and got dressed in her usual comfiness, she slid into bed and pet Kaine as he walked towards one side of her bed.
