=/\= Nimsi =/\= Acheson sighed and hugged himself as a cold sweat permeated his skin from his head downward. The hallucinations and emotional trauma were having their effect. He was seeing Borg now constantly, with the image of Commander Marsh continuing to haunt his every move. He walked through another corridor in the starbase, which itself appeared like a Borg alcove. He decided to stop resisting the images and to just ignore them. Resisting them did nothing. They were not real, he realized. As he continued through this corridor, he walked and the Borg hallucinations continued, beyond his present location. He called out to the images, in frustration. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" The drones kept about their work, ignoring his warning. He walked faster along this corridor, but as he walked the images kept reappearing at different points along the path. Backtracking didn't work either. "That's it. I'm leaving." +TAPS+ Acheson to Chimera, one to beam up. His combadge only returned subspace static. +TAPS+ Acheson to Chimera, get me the hell out of here! Damn it that's an order." His fatigue had caused his patience and courtesy to collapse into an uncivil burst of emotion. Orders are funny things. To be obeyed, they have to be received by someone. As it were, the Chimera was out of the range of his combadge. Starfleet made combadges with the idea that they wouldn't be used for long distances. The circuitry on the combadge couldn't be built to get enough power for the longer, ship variety, transmitters. He thought for a moment, as drones continued to march past him. His instinct told him to run and hide but his mind was just too tired and weary to try to act in this way. +TAPS+ Acheson to any Chimera member, meet me in section Alpha on Deck 257. I wanna get the hell out of here." =/\= END LOG =/\= 1LT Acheson CTAC USS Chimera -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm
