OOC: Sorry for the lateness of this log i haven't been around much due to work but i'm back now.... I hope:) =/\=Research Station=/\= I stepped out of the shuttle as the rear hatch opened i move a few feet from the shuttle and knelt my rifle in front of me as i provided cover for the rest of the team to disembark from the shuttle. A few moments later the crew started to move out towards the target the stations torpeado room. ::a few minutes later:: I stopped moving what was that noise coming from the room we just passed I signalled the ODB weapons spec Ensign Mathews who was a few meters in front of me he stopped and looked at me I indicated to him I had heard something and was going to check it out he nodded and looked at Commander Guzman who gave us the go ahead to investigate =/\= Crew Quarters =/\= I stopped by the door and glanced at Mathews he moved to the other side of the door and I pressed the release button when he was in position we entered the room scanning it with our eyes it was clear or so it seemed. "Must have been nothing" I muttered as I turned to Mathews my eyes grew wide at the site of a portal opening behind him "Get down" I shouted as I rush forwards pushing him out of the way an alien came through the portal thankfully Mathews was no longer in its path but I was.... Mathews looked up from the floor as the alien came past him hitting Steve in the chest Mathews tried to get a hold of the Medical officer but it was too late both the Alien and Lt Birt disappeared into a portal. OOC: Just so everyone knows by the time of the crew party my Character Steve Birt will have been listed as MIA Lt Steve Birt (MIA) Med Spec ODA Uss Chimera
