Athena Wellington ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: MKMJSMC@aol.com Date: Tue, 29 Jun 2004 17:17:55 EDT = Small Craft Heading toward the Chimera Athena lay on a small cot looking at the gray ceiling of the craft. It had been a while since she had time to think about what she might face once she returned to the ship. However, when she first started this adventure she didn't care what she'd be facing. She couldn't stand any more probing and if she had to sit still or worse yet lay still for one more brain scan; she was sure she would have screamed until her lungs exploded. Everyone would just have to deal with the fact that her brainwaves seemed to be on over load even for a betazoid. The fact is she felt fine and the doctors on the starbase were no closer to any answers for the extra activity. Athena had her own theories, but she wasn't ready to enlighten any one yet. {Trouble?} What were her infractions so far? Leaving the infirmary against doctors orders, ducking security, flirting a lot to find out where the chimera was, being a stow away and finally coercing an elderly retiree to drop her off. She wondered if the captain had been informed of her deeds and how many of them were actually known, after all that one guy wouldn't remember much with what he drank and especially not after she hit him over the head with that miniature statue. She gave a brief glance to the aging man helping her out now and wondered how long it would be before he figured out she was lying about being on a secret mission and al the other falsehoods she told him. = A passing of an undetermined amount of time Athena became aware of the fact that contact was being made with the Chimera. She could also tell that there was some surprise in the voice her crewmate answering the call. She touched her helper and gave him a look that indicated there might be a reason for the response he was getting. Fortunately for her the ship she was on was equipped with a small transporter she pointed to it and the elderly man nodded. She stepped up to the plate and what she saw gradually went out of focus and a new image of a familiar place was coming into focus before her. = Chimera Athena quickly stepped down the hall and into the mess hall before a security team showed up to investigate her arrival. On board the smaller craft she had finally managed to fall asleep and had one idea what she was going to say to any one let alone her superiors. She slipped into one of the quiet dark corners and sat at a table. She closed her eyes and took a couple of deep breaths to calm her nerves. = End Log Lt. Athena Wellington Counselor USS Chimera
