<< After the Party >> =/\= Ensign Quiocho's Quarters =/\= MaiKai returned from the party, thankfully not covered with pie filling all down her face and front. She finished unpacking her gear from the away team and set a side the things needed to go back to sickbay starting tomorrow. She took a short shower and got changed into black shorts and a gray wifebeater T-shirt. She went to sit down on her bed when she heard a whimper. She turned around noticing it was Kaine, her full bread pitbull. She petted him from the top of his down on his sides. She said to him sentimentally, " Oh, I missed you too buddy. Don't look at me like that, I've been busy." The only thing she brought with her to remind her of home and to have some companionship was a dog, which she didn't see that often. She was real concerned about how the dog must feel being stuck up in her all the time. She made a decision with herself to maybe start taking walks with the dog around the ship and maybe he would feel better. MaiKai was never one to really think about herself first in situations and she didn't feel the need to brag about. She had some time where she was considering the proud promotion of a long ways and an award given to her for acts of selflessness and bravery. She was glad she got an award for doing what she knew was best, but she kind of felt bad on getting count out and standing apart from others. Then again, that's what happens when things occur in gratitude. She knew she had to forget about being a big baby about it and get some sleep for work the next day.
