=/\= Conference =/\= Acheson listened intently as the XO described the coming mission, involving transporting the children. When he asked for questions, he felt obligated to raise his hand: "Sir, Are there any tactical risks between us and Tetron III?" Having received a good answer to that question, he had to ask another. "Sir, perhaps I'm just being silly, but do these children pose a security risk? Are any of their parents known to have anti Federation sympathies. I was 17 and 18 and I remember how passionately I viewed the world." The XO answered that question too. After the briefing was dismissed, Acheson walked the decks. He looked around and passed the occasional crewmember before thinking about the proposed mission. Nathan had no children. While he had had relations with various women, but always stopped short of having a son or daughter. He was a busy person, with a career in Starfleet to think about. Somehow, he never got around to having a family or having kids or doing those things that complimented a life. Yet as he walked he found himself wondering if he'd made the right choice and if he should continue on this path. He stopped that train of thought and tried to think about what tactical simulations to give the children. They would need something that was very interactive, because they have short attention spans. The simulation would need to be restrained, so that the violence wouldn't scare the younger children excessively. He entered a turbolift. "Holodeck 1" The doors closed and the Holodeck began dropping to its destination. He continued to think. The game would need to be multiplayer, or the bored children might be compelled to misbehave waiting for their turn. The game should feature an entertaining plot.
