<<OOC ... fwdying for our new crew memeber. Wellcome on board cadet! Michael, i've given you posting rights, so you can send logs on your own>> = = = =Transporter room 1, USS Au-pair = = = = Michael stood in the transporter room with the children ready to be transported off the Ambassador class starship to his first assignment after leaving the Academy. He would be joining the USS Chimera, an Intrepid class vessel in the SSF. (What a fine ship,) he thought. A commander that had been standing in the transporter room shot a smile over to Michael. “You’re ready to go Cadet.” The commander was an inch of two taller than Michael and had an air of authority around him, Michael good genuinely say that he liked the Commander how had also looked after him on the trip too his new assignment. “Thank you sir, and thanks for the ride.” Michael steeped onto the transporter pad along with a number of the children than the Chimera would be transporting. A transporter haze surrounded Michael and he leaft the Chimera reappering in the transporter room of the Chimera. (Finaly my first assignment) thought Michael. To say that he was excited would be an under statement. = = = = Outside Marine CO’s Office, USS Chimera = = = = Michael had never been outside of the solar system before. In fact the only time that he had been in space was with the Academy. Michael’s family were all artists who soled their work on earth and as such they never seemed to leave the planet, hell most of the time they did not leave the house. Michael remembered when he tried to sink a girl into the house once when he was fifteen, Michael laughed (what a trouble idea that was.) Michael was feeling a mixture of emotions, dominated by nervousness and excitement. Michael slowly composed himself by closing his eyes and focusing his thoughts as he had done when practising martial arts, it was a very good technique that Michael had relied on many times in order to get his composed back. He had decided to learn martial art after realising how out of shape he was when joining the academy. He did not know at the time that it would bring other benefits like a calming mediation technique. Michael looked over the padd that he had in his hand. It told him basic information about the ship and the command staff. He was looking up the Marine CO’s name. (Marine Captain Jack Walsh.) Michael read. Michael mentally made a note not to call the Captain Jack. Michael was moderately bright and a good officer (or soon to by officer) but that was the kind of stupid mistake that he would most likely make. Michael buzzed the door and got the standard reply telling him to enter. The captain was sitting at his desk looking over pads most likely holding reports about his squad. Michael walked in with his back as strait as he could possible get it and with his head held high. Michael stopped at the desk put down his back and stood to attention. "Mic…Cadet Michael McKnight reporting for duty sir," barked Michael like a Marine drill Sergeant. But all he could think about was one thing. (Idiot. You stupid idiot. Did you have to introduce yourself by your fist name?) Michael questioned himself mentally, convinced that the Captain thought he was a fool. = = = = = End of Log = = = = = Cadet Michael McKnight ODA Asst. Commander USS Chimera
