He asked teasingly: "You are sure you dont want to have a bit from this very good looking shocolade cake?" Rangi was sitting just in front of him, behind the table ... for some reasons she was giving him a hard stare. "Is there anything wrong my love?" he asked innocently, "look, i borrow you my spoon for that ..." he added. Rangi gave him a look that could shatter a meter thick duranium bar and said with a light amused tone: "And then you will say that I am thick like a mars huronfish and run away with some thin orion girl, wont you?" For a tiny moment Shane thought that she might be really meaning what she was saying but the mentioning of an orion slave girl made him laugh: "No way Milacik. You wont get rid of me that easy ..." He beamed an another teasing smile @ his beloved: "All right, if you dont want even a small bit ... your choice." He cut a bit larger bit with the spoon and lifted it to his mouth. Rangi pretended not to care. Shane put teh spoon in his mouth and slowly swallowed the candy. "Hmmmm ... excellent ... exquisite!" he said in a long voice. Rangi gave him an another duranium breaking stare and then leaned to him: "You would eat it all alone, wouldnt you?" Shane hardly managed to hide his smile: "Sure, i wont let it spoil ..." Rangi smiled and reached for teh spoon ... "what a terrible man you are ... you would really eat it all alone!" Shane noded and smiled: "Yes ... you said you dont want to try ..." Shane shook her beautifull hair and said: "But you were supposed to persuade me" Shane laughed now a bit longer: "I was what? *supposed* to persuade you?" The sweet conversation was interrupted by a voice calling from the entrance to the local: "Sait Mikulas ... Shane, its you?" SHane's eyes widened with surprise. He sharply turned his head to his left and said quietly to himself: "Martin?" A tall and figured, all cloaked in a large gray cloak came closer to the table. Once reaching the table the figure took of the hood: "Dont you know your own brother anymore?" Martin asked. Shane gasped in surprise. "Jezus ... is it really you Martin?" He stood up and shook Martin's offered hand: "I would never expect to meet you here" Shane's brother smiled: "Heh ... and where would you expect me to meet?" "Erm ... Artemis IV?" Shane replied. Martins smiled in a cheerish tone: "I left Artemis three years ago Shane, you are a but behind the time ..." Then Martin turned to Rangi who watched the two brothers with interest. "I dont think you have introduced me to your beautifull companion ... Shane" Martin said. "Please excuse my brother, he is surely an excellent tactical officer, but his manners are sometimes far behind. My name is Martin Guzman, I am very happy to meet such a nice lady like you are" Rangi smiled at Martin and said: "My name is Rangi, Rangi Summers. Happy to meet you as well" "Honour in on my side Miss Summers" Martin replied and took Rangi's offered hand and kissed it softly in an old fashioned manner. Only then he turned back to Shane who watched Rangi and his brother with an raised eyebrow. "Hope you dont mind joining you for a while @ this table?" Martin asked. Shane looked at Rangi and then noded: "Of course not." As Martin was sitting down on the chair next to Shane, Shane said: "I am really taken by surprise to see you here ... and even more that you are no loner on Artemis ..." he pasued, "you are right, where are my manners ... please let me introduce you Rangi, she is the Chief medical officer on our ship and my girl firend" Martin looked at him for a second quietly before saying: "Then you are a lucky man Shane." ===== End of log ===== Cmdr.
